These cottages are the perfect getaway for anyone! They have different sizes, but you do need to reserve ahead of time. We generally do so about a year ahead of time. There are discounts available for passholders and county residents and they are well worth the money as they are clean and cheerful. The park has lots of trails, a splash park, spray area, playground, fishing, paddle boats, a dog park and much more. A great place to vacation! more

Great Park for the Entire Family 4/14/2006

There is something for everyone at James Island County Park. They have a splash park, spray area, rock climbing wall, camping, bike and walking trails, paddle boats, a playground, dog park and much, much more! The staff is very friendly and at Holiday time, they have an amazing light show. You can get season passes to the splash park and we have a lot of fun there in the summer. A definate fun place for the entire family to play! more

Fun for the whole family 7/22/2005

James Island County Park offers a wide range of outdoor activities to satisfy everyone in the family. There are walking trails, bike trails, and rollerblading trails for the active exerciser. There are huge fields for playing pick up games of football, frisbee, soccer and more. There are lakes with paddleboats for enjoying the wildlife. There is also Splash Zone, a small waterpark with fun for all ages in the lazy river, the pool and several big and small waterslides. Charleston Country residents are lucky to have such a great facility for enjoying the outdoors. more
