Best Resturaunt by far in Lake Norman! Exquisite detail in atmosphere. All courses are served with care and great attention spent on embellishing each dish. The staff is very polite and the owners are extremely kind. I have tried almost every dish and never been unsatisifed. The staff is very good at recommending and wine pairing. Very important. Lousy service. My husband and I went into the restaurant, which was not crowded on a Friday night and there was no hostess to seat us. We went into the bar area and sat at a table, where the dishes had not been cleaned off, and not one waitress came over to our table the entire time we were there. No one asked if we wanted a drink, menu.. etc. I then asked the bartender if we could get some one to wait on us, and again, no one adressed that we were there or came to our table. We ended up leaving after waiting 25-30 minutes and no one waiting on us. I certainly would not recommend this place unless you want lousy service. more

I recently moved from a big city where we had many great restaurants and was somewhat disappointed with the quality of food in the area until I found the secret restaurant ""Splash"". I visited Splash 3 times now, once with my wife and parents, second time with our neighbors and third time with large business group. They have impressed each one of us. It is owner managed. They absolutely cared to make our evening one to remember. They have a great menu, seafood, pastas, meat and appetizers. You should try your future best meal. From someone that loves food. Thanks. I have been there 5 times or so. Not sure what to make of it. It is either great or awful. Some of the people have attitudes. When you walk in they are frowning or seem tired. The food is not always made the same way. When we asked about it they said there were no particular recipes which would be fine if they tasted somewhat the same but they dont. One day the hummus was great. The next it tasted like it came from a can. They got somewhat argumentative when they asked us if we liked it and we said no. We didnt eat it. They seat everyone near each other always. You have to ask to go off to the side. They like to pile the patrons together. They seem annoyed if you suggest a quieter table. Music is good. Not loud.
