Splash Cafe is Good Cheap Eats 8/17/2009

Mel and I ordered fish tacos. I got the grilled salmon taco and she ordered the mahi mahi taco. This place offers a wide variety of food - burgers, tacos, chowders, pizzas, and pastries. It seemed really popular with the students of Cal Poly. Good cheap eats! more

Love the Bread Bowls 8/14/2008

They serve chowder or chili in these amazing fresh baked bread bowls. I'm told this place serves the best chowder on the central coast but I personally don't do chowder. But the chili is good too. They also have a bakery on site to make all their bread. And they make handcrafted chocolates too! more

Splash Cafe 5/9/2008

Now if you love calm chowder, you need to try this place out. The best calm chowder around. We have taken a drive from Los Angeles to San Luis Obispo just to try their chowder and yes it's true it's the best. I have not been able to get passed their chowder to try some of their other food, that is how good it is and even better wi the bread bowl. more

Splash Cafe 4/29/2008

I am a big clam chowder fan and the soup I've had here is easily the best, especially if you add the seafood topping and bread bowl. There is relatively little seating, and the restaurant its self is nothing extravagant. They also have some baked foods that are absolutely delicious. more

A quick bite 4/2/2008

Great place to grab a quick bite for breakfast/lunch/dinner or find a treat for dessert. They also sell amazing truffles. Indoor and outdoor seating. more
