So, the whole ""european"" spin on this place intrigued me so I had to check it out, It was ok. Nothing spectacular. What I found out later was that Doner is actually glorified Shawerma (which is middle eastern) except Doner is hyper processed meat with less spices: so, you're getting less quality in the meat & less flavor (except for the flavor provided by filler & fat which is processed into the meat.) After I found this out, I decided the one time I had Doner would be the last: now I'm sticking to Shawerma instead: it's not processed, it has fantastic spices, and it doesn't pretend it's ""european."" (what about Turkey is european anyways!? the roots are seljuk/mongol & the culture is just as closed as any other muslim culture!)
