Sitting alongside the south tracks of the Metra station in Elmhhurst, the Spice Merchant had always caught my eye.
I stopped in on two occasions to see what they actually had. For such a small store front they had a surprisingly large selection of tea leaves to choose from and also a nice selection of spices.
It seems that most of the customers (older) come to sit, talk, and drink in the tea room which, as a younger person, was not my cup.
If you know what you want and are willingly to pay a little extra a quick stop might be worth your time. The attitude is a little elitist but nonetheless, the products are great.
