This is a quiet little restaurant with very good Indian food. My family goes frequently and we always love it. The kids enjoy the bread. My wife loves the chicken with cashews. Pros: Really good food Cons: Could be spicier more

Would never recommend any one to go to Spice Bowl. We had heard lot of bad about this place but still we dropped ourselves....had horrible experience...customer service was the worst I had ever experienced........owners are so rude in behaviour...... more

B/CS is not known for its interantional and ethnic restaurants. The Spice Bowl allows A&M and B/CS residents to enjoy quality Indian food without having to go to a major metropolitan area. Pros: Good Indian restaurant for B/CS Cons: Average to big city standards more

owners cheat and lie: I ordered lamb vindaloo for a group lunch take out. I didn't check the wrapped dish when i picked it up. It turned out to be mediocre and dry chicken vindaloo. When I called the restaurant, the owner argued that he only charged me for chicken despite the bill saying lamb and started questioning me whether i had ordered lamb. He started shouting at me.... My suggestion, never order and eat at this restaurant. You will be disappointed, cheated and lied at! He made me believe i was getting a lamb dish, knowing that it was chicken! If you are willing to spend over $10 a person on a mediocre lunch that you didn't order and get shouted at for dessert, go ahead and order. But otherwise, stay clear of this place. Btw, i am married to an Indian and love cooking Indian food at home. The food spice bowl offers, even if it was what you ordered, is mediocre at best. Go and spend your money elsewhere. You deserve better treatment than that! more

I have been to the Spice Bowl about 6 times in the past 3 years. I think it is a nice restaurant, definitely unique in the Bryan/CS area. Bryan/CS is not characterized by offering a lot of choices for good dining, and this is definitely one of those few places. The place is very small, not fancy at all, so don't even consider a romantic getaway here, but nevertheless is very family-oriented, decorated nicely with Indian things, and there is usually hindu music in the background which I think it's cool. The place is all buffet style, the lunch price is $8.95, I'm not sure if dinner is the same. This is not a place for everyone though, you MUST like/tolerate spicy food because most dishes are spicy. more
