Spectrum Athletic Clubs

My friend and I both joined at the end of May. I've been a member of a few different gyms, and this one definitely has the nicest facilities. Clean, spacious, and comfortable. I do like the fact that there are Womens Only facilities, which include most of the same equipment as the main facilities downstairs. The dressing rooms and showers are always clean and do include free amenities like shampoo, towels, soap, etc. A few years ago, I swore NEVER to use the showers or dressing rooms at a gym, but after a few visits, I made an exception. Even if you are a modest, private person, you will feel comfortable at Spectrum. The Spectrum Club not only has friendly staff, but the atmosphere is clean, bright and full of modern fitness equipment. The lockerooms are amazing. They are clean, smell great, offer towels, and all the amenities like a spa experience. The fitness instructors and personal trainers are knowledgeable and truly want to help. This club has a fantastic pool, and many different classes like yoga, cycle, and pilates. Not only is the location convenient, but I enjoy working out there. They also have a great center for kids and many acitivies to keep them from boredom. I would recommend Spectrum to anyone. It has been great for me. I joined Spectrum about 2 years ago when I decided I wanted to lose weight for my wedding in April. I was a bit hesitant to join an athletic club because I have never been a member of one and was also self conscious about working out in front of others. I have enjoyed using the women's only workout room which has the same cardio and strength training equipment as the main floor, but provides extra privacy. I also enjoy the individual TV screens on the cardio equipment so I can watch my favorite shows while working out. Recently, I upgraded to HealthMiles. I wear my GoZone pedometer everyday and am able to better monitor my health and fitness progress! Pros: Women's only workout room more

I have been very pleased with my membership at Spectrum! They offer incredible customer service, great cardio and strength training equipment, and a variety of fun, challenging group exercise classes. The TV screens on the cardio equipment help me get through my workouts and I love the cycling classes! I am also using a personal trainer who was recommended by a Spectrum employee and I love him too!!! He is fabulous and has helped me reach and maintain my fitness goals. more

I just want to start by saying that the customer service at spectrum was awsome. As I walked into the club the front desk staff was greeting everyone by name, that was the first thing I did notice then the club itself was kept in great shape, looked like it was a new club. The machines were top of the line with TV screens on them. Machines were clean and all working so there would not be any problem to use any of them. I liked all the staff all of them talking to customers and helping them with all there needs. Yes I will recommend any one to go and check out a Spectrum Club. The first time I entered this health club, I knew it was the place for me. The person on the front desk greeted me with a genuine smile, and I couldn't help noticing that she knew the names of all the members passing by. I was escorted around the club by a membership consultant, and I could not help noticing how clean the club was, and how friendly everyone appeared .At the end of my tour the membership consultant talked to me about healthmiles, a great new way that I could earn rewards for working out, I could actually get cool things like Personal Training and gift cards for logging my workouts, what a great idea. I have been a member now for one month and I am addicted to healthmiles, I wear my pedometer everywhere I go. I go to bed thinking STEPS,STEPS,STEPS!! okay I might be a little obsessed but I have lost 8lbs in my first month. What a great health club. Living in the Alamo Heights area for most of my life I was a life long member of the Concord Athletic Club. I made the switch to Spectrum six months ago and have no regrets leaving Concord as this Spectrum is by far a better fit for me. They offer a very upscale environment that offers a full towel service, individual flat screens, great classes (yoga in paticular), very clean and high, high energy. I have never been this motivated to work out and have met a lot of new ""o niner"" friends as this club is great for socializing. I am a realestate agent who depends on relationships and I have already after six months sold a few houses to people I have met at the club during my workouts. I love this club. It's beautiful, clean, loaded with top of the line equipment, has fully stocked locker rooms and showers, saunas, pools, great instructors and personal trainers. The customer service and attention is outstanding. It's the perfect club for me. more

Upon recently relocating to San Antonio, I had to look no further than Spectrum to join the best club I could find. The locker rooms are warm and inviting, the equipment is top of the line and the staff is friendly and full of energy. I love the huge Kid's Club that my children enjoy everytime I take them. The overall service is a high level of quality. more

I recently relocated from new Mexico and was referred to this club by a neighbor. I was worried that my children would not feel comfortable and I heard it was pricier than what I was used to. Once I stepped into the club I was blown away with the service. The staff was friendly adn the gentleman that toured me made me feel comfortable about my children by taking me into the kid's center and showing me the tv's they have for members to watch their children. Coming from clubs in New MExico, where I was very comfortable I didn't think I could find something comparable and I was right. What I found was much better! more

This is the best new club in town. I have been working out for 25 years and been to hundreds of clubs all over the world,and these folks got it right.The employees are very helpfull, the equipment is the best on the market and set up for the best and easyest wokout. The club has everything I need after a workout also Steam-sauna Pool Clean showers and amminities.Great job Spectrum. more

Most friends of mine said I was paying too much for my gym membership. When I asked if their gym offered courtesy shavors, cologne, deodorant, shampoo, shaving cream, hair driers, unlimited towels, sauna, pool, flat screen tvs on the work out equipment, and awesome cable, they said ""no.""
