I have worked for Special Security Force for some time now, and upon reading the reviews on here, have found it necessary to write my own. I don't know where some of the people who wrote these reviews have found the misinformation that they have posted, but I want to clear the air about this company. I started out as an officer. I have found my way through the ranks with this company. I enjoy working here, and the people that I work with, as well. These prior reviews are apparently coming from people who are disgruntled employees and have the need to hold a grudge. I think that a sensible person will obviously see this and come to their own conclusions. This is one of the best companies that I have ever worked for. I enjoy coming to work every day and that is simply because they make what I do enjoyable. They evaluate each guard and play to each person's strengths. They want to see everyone they hire succeed. Not many companies care about the individuals; most are only concerned about the profits. This company does. more

Great service with results instead of…\r Great service with results instead of the B.S. most companies have given. Oh we have ex cops, we have the best, we promise this and that.... These guys came in and asked me to give them two weeks and if the results did not speak for themselves, they would ""FIRE"" themselves. They made 2 arrests and got rid of all the homeless people sleeping on the property in the back. \r \r I hate security companies because they make empty promises and never deliver. These guys did what I asked and I will never switch, period!! \r \r When you have been a property manager for as long as I have, you know real quick who is full of B.S. These guys said that if they did deliver, I had to give them a good reference. I wrote them a letter and I am posting this message on every site I can find this afternoon. I gave them a hard time and almost threw them out of the office which would have been a mistake. If you have a property, call them and you will see your residents coming in to compliment you and your leasing assistants for a change. more

The US Department of Labor is investigating blatant payroll violations committed by Special Security Force. The ownership, consisting of Patrick Michael (""Mike"") Griffith, Karen Hays, Dillion Boirum, and Billy Medina, along with the assistance of their employee Phil Torres, a convicted felon, have intentionally defrauded employees of thousands of dollars in payroll. They steal time from employees hours, pay overtime wages at regular hourly rates, refuse to release earned wages from terminated employees, and withhold fraudulent deductions from employees' paychecks. As well, SSF regularly charges clients for guard services and patrols which they do not perform. An IRS investigation into tax fraud is currently pending on both SSF and Mr. Griffith. These facts can be confirmed through the US Department of Labor and the IRS. Also, SSF has an extreme number of complaints filed through the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the volume of which the investigators cannot keep up with. SSF's training academy (Arizona Armed and Unarmed Training Center) engages in a deliberate policy of deceit to secure registrations for its classes. Anyone wishing to attend their classes should insist on seeing documented credentials of the trainers, as they have frequently used unauthorized trainers to present the classes. To cover this gross mismanagement and fraud, the ownership of SSF has changed the company name to United Metro Security Force, LLC., operating under 2 trade names, United Metro Security and Special Security Force. more

Excellent Company to work for. I worked 4/27/2012

Excellent Company to work for. I worked for these guys before and I had to leave to go back into the service and when I came back to the states, I made a phone call and I was invited to come down to the office and pick up a uniform. I could not be happier. Jobs are not easy to get right now. I am telling you that these guys care about the people they hire and always take care of a problem if it arises. I will always defend this company because of what they did for me and my family and what I see them do for other newly hired guards. more
