Spatola Tailoring

I needed to get my wedding dress tailored. First I went to European Tailors on Anton Street and the estimate for my dress was $500. I thought that was ridiculous so a friend recommended that I should go to Spatola. Not only did they do an amazing job with my dress but the cost only came out to $95. The only thing is that it is a small shop and both times I went to the store there was only one guy working the front desk. He is a very sweet Italian man. Even though he was running around helping other costumers and answering the phone he still managed to help me with my dress, even though I had not made an appointment. As far as the last review goes I think that person needs to relax. You missed out on a great tailor. Pros: Price, Service more

Benny Spatola is the best tailor around. I drive down to his shop in Santa Ana from LA because he is so amazing. The fit is always perfect and he is kind and charming. I would recommend him to anyone. more

I needed to find a good tailor to alter a few new clothes that I just bought. I called and asked the gentleman at Spatola how much to hem up jeans, he answered $15. I then asked how much for shortening sleeves, he answered $10-18. Next, I asked my last question, ""How much to hem slacks?"", his reply was $10. And what if I wanted to have french cuffs, how much do you charge?"" He abruptly asked me "" What is this? Are you going to ask about the entire pricelist?"" I explained that was the last item I wanted to get a quote on and if that was too much trouble for him then I will not give him my business and hung up. I called back moments later to give them another chance since his tailor shop had a 8.1 rating with CitySearch. As he answered the phone, I re-introduced myself by saying ""Yes, we had just spoke about pricing."" He rudely snapped at me and said, ""No. You called me. What do you need now?"" That was it! So I told him that he would get a negative review on this site. I will not give Spatola any business ever. more
