Woohoo!!!! Peter got his horses back!!!! Congratulations! The horses look happy and healthy, not depressed as they did elsewhere. I have been here for years and know that this is a great place for families. The horses are well taken care of and the staff very friendly. Come and visit and see for yourself. I used to live on Grand Island and loved horses so I found Sparks Trading Post and decided to trail ride..it was a horrible place. The first thing I noticed was the care of the horses, NONE of them were properly groomed, they were put away sweaty and they had not had their coats cared for or properly shedded out. The horses were just pulled out of the barn, sweat marks still on them, and had a saddle thrown on their backs. The horses feet were cracked and badly taken care of, and while I was looking around the property, some horses were just wandering around, not secured in a stall and I found one horse that was the skinniest animal I have ever seen. I could see ALL of his ribs and hip bones...he had hair that had been rubbed completely off and it did not look like it had any energy to walk. \r \r This farm also has had NUMEROUS outbreaks of EIA - Equine Infectious Anemia and MANY horses had to be put down.
