My husband and I have been taking private lessons here since October 2011. We've only been taking lessons from Constanza but we've spoken with office staff several times too. All of them are amazing. Even though it's a class and things aren't easy, we always leave class in a good mood, feeling it was easier than we feared because Constanza makes us feel supported and safe. She is AMAZINGLY patient and kind, and she has a great laugh that's just infectious. She is able to remember, even when we can't attend for a few weeks, what we've learned before and where we need to go next. She's excellent at preparing you for what's to come and reviewing what you've already learned. She loves questions and I always have plenty. She always has topics to discuss, examples of a particular rule or idiom, and there's never a dull moment. The combination of learning from the textbook, learning from readings in Spanish, learning by speaking and conversing, and learning by writing is a great mix. There have been several times when we've had to cancel or reschedule class very close to the class time and the staff (as well as Constanza) have been very kind and accommodating, and also very open about cancelation policies, financial penalties, and the like. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this establishment. When we first signed up, it was for a group class but we ended up being the only ones in it, so we decided to continue after that initial 8-week session with private classes and we're glad we did. You go at your own pace, whether that be faster or slower than usual, and you don't have to share the speaking time with others, meaning you speak more in class and that's essential to learning a new language. ¡Muchas gracias a todos en Spanish Horizons!
