Spaghetti Warehouse

As bad as Italian can possibly get. you'd think that the one thing they could get right would be cooking pasta...and yet, my dish was mush mush mush. Not even slightly overcooked...but overcooked as in it sat in boiling water about 2 times as long as it needed to be ( I looked at my penne, thought "Why does it look so big?" Then I realized it was because it had about twice as much water as it needed!) And it was swimming in sauce...yikes. Can we talk about portions here? I got enough pasta to feed a family of four! And my fiance got a spaghetti dish that had a butter and garlic sauce. Easy, right? Well, it was extremely flavorless. Oh so uninspiring. If Italian is what you want, don't go here. Just awful. Makes the Olive Garden look like experts on authentic Italian dining! more

The Spaghetti Warehouse is located in the middly of Oklahoma City's Bricktown district on Sheridan. It obviously used to be a Spaghetti Factory (chain restaurant) but is now the Spaghetti Warehouse. It was busy both times we've been there, but its a big place so we were seated quickly. The food is good. I like their "trio" special where you get an appetizer (about a 1/2 serving) an entree and a dessert for $10.99. It has a neat ambience, with a dining streetcar in the middle of the dining area (Spaghetti Factory hold-over, I'm guessing), older style high-chairs and arcade games in the front area.
