Ate at Spadra last night and the food was fabulous. I tried their special called linguini ala mare? It was linguini w crab, pine nuts and sun dried tomatoes. The sauce was the best part. It was a sherry wine cream. Service was great. You can see that they all work well together. Very friendly staff and awesome food!!!!! Highly recommended. Dining at Spadra has been and will always be a great experience. The staff, food and exceptional service is what you receive upon entrance to such a unique place. The building has great history and has been filled for years with great food, laughter and good times. What a great place. The food is amazing the service is great. This place has it all. A nice family place, as much as it is a romantic place. Don't forget breakfast on the weekend. It has alot of the standard fare and things that you will not find any place else. For a great night out you will not be disappointed. Pros: Service, ambience, value for your money Cons: parking can be tough on the weekends but there is a valet, if all else fails. more

The new name is Spadra but the ownership is still the same. Spadra serves the best Italian food in Fullerton. The creamy tomato sauce is the best I have ever had. The service is outstanding. The owner is usually there to greet you and ready with a joke. The restaurant has had the interior and exterior remodeled and looks beautiful. This is a great place for a date. Enjoy. We had reservations for 7pm and got there at 6:45 and were told we could be seated right away or wait for the booth that was reserved for us. We decided to wait and when we were seated we discovered there were only 3 booths and not much different that the reg tables. Aside from that the food was great; I had the Chicken Milanese and my date had the Rigatoni Boscaiola. Had the Tiramisu for dessert and was very tasty. FYI: The resturant is split into 2 sections; a lower section(where the booths are) that has a guitar player playing requests and an upper section that seemed a little more intimate. Try the handmade gnocchi or the salmon with a mustard sauce so delicious you could eat a whole bowl. The food is tasty, but the service is excellent!! The owner Dave is quite a joke teller and there's not a bad looking server inthe restaurant. A very friendly place with a small town feel. Don't miss brunch on Saturdays & Sundays 'til 2pm.
