Back in the Spring I was going for my third ""eh"" appt with my stylist. Although she was funny and kept good conversation, the entire atmosphere didnt impress me much. Personnel always seemed to be arguing and clients overhearing details that clearly they shouldnt have. Regardless the day of my appt, I received word my stylist called out sick. Although this was the second time this happened to me, I figured let it slide, make an additional appt. Which I did a few days later. Granted the event i was hoping to have my roots touched up for came and went . . . what are you going to do? Anyhow, a few days later, I arrive for my rescheduled appt and inform the incredibly immature front desk staff (gossip/texting central) who I am and who Im meeting with and go and sit in the waiting room. So strange that the waiting room has no magazines to look at, just hair books always irritated me. Regardless, clients come and clients go and Im still sitting there. Finally after 45 mins one of the front desk girls asks me who I am waiting for . . I tell her and she proceeds to tell me that my stylist never even came in, in fact called out sick again. I was irate! I've been sitting in this salon now for an hour and they never told me when I checked in and indicated who I was there to meet with that mys stylist was even there?! Whats worse, is I fully expected to receive a call within a day or so appologizing from the stylist, owner, etc. Nothing. Spa on the Avenue from my point of view is pricey, unattached from the real client and clearly needs to have a few staff meetings on being a bit more cheery, focused and client oriented. I will never go back.
