Spa Equilibrium is a first class spa. Offers an extensive list of services, facilities are posh and well-maintained. I enjoy the wet and dry saunas. The personnel are professional. The atmosphere is very relaxing and quiet. I was impressed by the women's area. They offer every toiletrie one could need for a shower, washing one's face, plus have fruit and light beverages available. The massages I have had there have been a delight. They are done according to my preference, so work through the knots to my satisfaction. Gift certificates are available, which make the best gifts. This spa is located in oldtown SF. more

    Loud orange and blue walls, an Aztec-like theme and a hot tub in the middle of the reception area distinguish Hotel Monaco's Equilibrium from the Palace Hotel's just down the street. Massage and facial rooms are toned down with peach colored-walls, low lighting and simple beach-framed photography. Keep in mind, you don't have to be a hotel guest in order to book a service at either spa and both have workout facilities, co-ed locker rooms and saunas for your use.

    Best known for killer massages that patrons have described as addictive, this is one service that should be on everyone's to-do list. Massages aren't merely services, but can be theatrical, as therapists choreograph a mix of oils and techniques that you've chosen. Don't pass on wax either, as services tend to be quick and painless.
