Best

It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Worst

I got my girlfriend and I a weekend package with a room, meals, couples massage, ect. and we booked everything months in advance. We even confirmed the week before for our couples...

Years of experience DOESN'T equal quality 3/13/2006

I went in for a bridal hair up-do...luckily as a practice prior to the big day. Andrew was highly recommended to me when I called to make the appointment. I knew something was wrong when he started off by blowdrying my totally dry hair...I hadn't washed it that morning yet. I showed him an exact picture that I wanted for my hair and what I got was far from it. It looked more like a practical joke than a style appropriate for the grace of my wedding day. I could do a better job by myself at home...if you dare to try out the services, make sure you go in for a practice first. Pros: No wait, Beautiful setting Cons: Overpriced, Didn't listen to me, No sense of style more

Lovely resort, nestled in the hills in Berkeley 9/15/2005

I stayed in the Claremont Resort for 2 nights for a business trip. Since my company paid for it, I don't have a perspective on the price. However, I thought that the building itself has a lot of charm, with beautiful surroundings. The view from the pool is wonderful, and I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I ordered room service the first night, which was as pricey as you would expect room service to be. I did not use any of the spa facilities or services, but if I were to visit again, I definitely would. I am not sure how old this resort is, but it is on the older side...however I didn't notice anything, so it seems maintained very well. Definitely recommended for a getaway vacation. PROS: Located in the hills, charming, good for getaways CONS: Pricey, parking seems limited/expensive. more

The best 8/21/2005

The spa at the Claremont is absolutely beautiful and services are the best you can get. Prices reflect that though, and I experienced it by use of a gift certificate. The facilities are first class and massage and facial I recieved were wonderful. I loved the freebies of the spa and sauna, along with the juice and iced tea.. Great experience. more

Perfect for Relaxation 6/18/2005

This resort gives great services including costomer service and resort packages. The atmosphere is very relaxing making it very peacful. They specialize in massages, facials and various spa treatments. Although this resort is unique it can be very expensive. more

mooo..... 11/18/2002

that's what they make you feel like at this overrated, super-expensive spa. i've been here twice in the last year and both times i've been shuffled around like cattle from a facial to a late massage appt. i gave it a chance, living in the east bay it would have been nice, but i can't waste any more time, energy, or money on this place! the massage therapists seem very inexperienced and are very focused on time rather than relaxation. Pros: nice location, beautiful view Cons: expensive, inexperienced, unrelaxing more

Great Massage 11/12/2002

The massages here are to die for, but when it comes to the price of relaxation, be ready to pay for it. more

Spa Day Bliss 10/17/2002

I spent the day at Spa Claremont with my mom during her last visit. We both had a fabulous time and made return appointments before we left. I tried the Head to Toe package and flet like a new girl when I left. Best part, the new restaurant Paragon. Great drinks, food and views of the city. I highly recommend to all the spa lovers in the Bay Area! Pros: valet parking, beautiful setting, great service Cons: NONE! more

Spa Girl in Heaven!! 10/15/2002

I have been to many spas, including the Napa Valley, Hawaii, San Francisco, and East Bays, and by far, the Claremont is one of the best I've been to. I went with a group of friends for a girl's day at the spa and had a wonderful time! The spa facilities were clean, the staff was friendly, and I had one of the best massages I've had in a while. I could've spent all day there! Will definitely be back again soon! Well worth the money!! Pros: Parking (think SF), Spa Facilities, Proximity to SF Cons: Not enough time! more
