Called and reserved spots a month in advance for 5 of us girls to get mani/pedis the day before my wedding in Tampa... didn't know it was so far away until after I reserved (it came up when I googled spa tampa as the first on the list???) - but that was my fault. Was assured they had our spot and was even given a slight discount.
.....day arrives and we all show up at the salon 10 mins before our appt.... and get the news that ONE woman will be taking care of all five of us.- in other words get ready to sit down for about 5 hours... we explained that we had a rehearsal dinner at 6:30 (it was 2:30) and that we had to be there by then and things went downhill from there. The two women that worked on us (after one was all huffy saying there was other things she should be doing instead) got increasingly more of an attitude as time went on, even though we were as pleasant and patient as we could be with the time crunch. The women kept taking 5-6 mins to step away from us and complain to each other about how it was too rushed and they didn't have enough time?? At one point, after I left, because I had to be back earlier, she said,"" I don't care, just get these girls out of here, this is stressing me out."" One of the girls didn't even get her nails done bc there wasn't time and the woman STILL tried to charge her (I think she may have painted her own nails with a bottle of polish on the table)! And, to add to it all, the manicures (including my own, which was done first before the real time crunch set in- ( took an hour to complete)- was the sloppiest job I have ever paid for. Not to mention, I paid $45 for the shellac, and locally in Orlando I get it done for $21 and the work far surpasses it and takes half the time.
On top of it all, when I went to pay, I informed them I had put down a $75 deposit and I wanted my fee to be taken out of that, it took me 5 mins to convince them, I had, in fact, paid a deposit, and another 15 to track it down- after I proved my point by looking it up on my own cell phone bank app!
I don't understand how a business owner could arrange everything and never bother to inform us that only one tech would be available, or bother to arrange for additional techs to be there for our appointments. Their website is very misleading and nail service does NOT appear to be a major part of the business in person, as it does online.
I am sure they are fine with individual service, but if time is a factor in any way (remember, we allowed almost 4 hours!) or you have a group, I DO NOT recommend this salon.
Luckily, the rest of the weekend was not as chaotic and the other people we booked for wedding services provided top notch, timely service.
