Souvlaki Fast

Great food, fresh, stuff that was supposed to be hot arrived hot and stuff that was supposed to be cold arrived cold. Everything tasted great. Will order again for sure. Highly recommended. more

With two kids and the family Honda, it's hard to tell that we are snobs, but we are--big time. We hate being continually let down by restaurants and will often walk in to a new place, look at the menu, look around, smell the air, and leave. Well, the snobs have declared a BIG FIND IN BOCA--Souvlaki Fast is our new favorite joint. We have been there with our kids on average of 3 times per week for the last month. (The picky eater declared that he rather eat Souvlaki chicken instead of chocolate!) We are hooked on their tzatziki sauce, their gyros are to die for, and basic simple greek salad is the perfect bed for a load of gyro meat or souvlaki chicken on top. The price is very fair and yes, it is fast (something we appreciate on school nights). The baklava has been playing a staring game with me and I haven't tried it (YET). Tuesday night is $5 gyro night--we have declared this night as Greek night. They have our business as loyal customers. Note that they have two locations, one at the Southern end of Mizner and the other at Spanish River and Federal Highway on the Northeast corner. Both are tops; the only difference is plastic plates or ceramic dishes--Mizner has real plates. We love both locations and will choose souvlaki fast over all other choices when we need the ease of eating out and the taste of Greek street food. more

We first turned on to Souvlaki Fast in at Mizner Park. After a few enjoyable visits we held a party there with over 20 people and every one of our guests said they would look forward to retuning.\r They have since opened up their Spanish River store and we receive consistently good results there as well.\r Bear in mind this is Greek "fast" so they'll have you pick up your meal at the counter and then seat yourself, however, if they're not swamped or busy, they will gladly wait on you.\r \r The food is prepared very straight forwardly and the plates are filled to capacity.\r One thing they do quite well with most dishes on the menu is achieve a nice crust or as I like to call it: "bark" on the kebobs, gyros, fish, etc.\r The dishes are simple and done well.\r \r I tend to order very custom, ie: no sauce on this, extra crispy fries on that, etc. They always pay close attention to my requests and deliver expected results.\r Their locations are small and intimate. We suggest dining al fresco when weather permits and if they're not too busy they will run the food out to you.\r Do you want our suggestion on what to order?\r Try Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.\r On you next visit, try something else....you can't go wrong.\r \r This is a family run business and Brothers, Sister, Cousins, etc, are always working hard behind the counter.\r They visit our table for quality control and they've learned and remembered all of our names and make us feel right at home.\r \r Did I mention the "bark".....Mmmmmmmmm more

Just the other day I was told that this place had the best gyros ever. I didn't believe it at first and just went by to check it out. I left a firm believer in the quality and pride, which is put into this food. I would think myself to have high standards when it comes to taste and this fine restaurant blew them away. The friendly wait staff and workers only contribute to the entirety of your experience. This place is a must if you enjoy quality food and life changing experiences. more
