Located in Waxahachie, Texas, Southwestern Assemblies of God University is a Bible-based institution for theological and professional studies. Formerly known as Southwestern Bible Institute, the university has been operational for more than 75 years. Its facilities include the Sheaffer Full Life, Hugh P. Jeter World Prayer, Barnes Student, Claxton Athletic and Ellis Learning Resource centers, Farmer Administration Building, Harrison School of Graduate Studies and P.C. Nelson Memorial Library. The university offers majors in various academic areas, such as accounting, business administration, marketing, church ministries, biblical studies, Christian education, church planting and revitalization, and counseling and cross-cultural missions. It also offers majors in Media, Music, youth and pastoral ministries, theatrical and theological studies, communication arts, broadcasting, English and creative writing, media management, and foreign languages and literature.
