Everyone in the store was helpful and courteous whenever my husband and I visited the store. Unfortunately, our teenage daughter failed to keep her end of the bargain with us to pay for the phone so we went to the store to discuss discontinuing service. The employee courteously discussed our options and he concluded that it would be cheaper to discontinue service than to continue paying for a phone that we didn't need. After looking up our names in the computer he said that it would cost $175.00 to get out of our contract, but that we would pay much more than that to finish out the contract. So about a week later we returned and questioned the store again about the cost to discontinue service and decided to end the service. Four months later we received a call from a debt collector informing us that we owed $175 because we had discontinued service before 6 months was over. I thought they were talking about the $175.00 I had paid to the carrier, but they said no that we owed this amount to Southwest Wireless. Twice when we had questioned an employee at the store we were told it would cost us $175.00, not $175 twice. There was no mention of the 6 month contract, which would have expired in less than a month from the day we discontinued the service. However when I talked to the store manager about this he stated, ""That is the way we have always done business."" They need to better train their employees so customers are not misled.
Pros: polite and courteous employees
Cons: Don't count on them to accurately relate the terms of your contract- check it yourself
