Excellent Choice! 8/3/2008

After extensive research we decided to have our 3 year old cat laser declawed. We chose this hospital after talking to the veterinarian himself. We did not have to wait once we arrived at the office and the procedure did not take as long as we had expected. We were on our way home in a few hours. Our cat was alert on the drive home and he fully recovered within a few short days. As we were so impressed with the doctor and the hospital, we will be taking our other cat in for the same procedure. Pros: Price, Professional, Friendly more

Best Vet in Tulsa! 1/30/2008

I highly recommend this vet. My family dog was a great dane mix, and she was old. She was part of the family, so watching her age was hard enough, but then she started deteriorating before our eyes. We took her to this vet, hoping for answers. Instead of writing her off as an 11 year old great dane who is lucky to be alive and letting her die, he asked if we would allow him to do some tests. We said sure, and he ended up doing a lot of research on her breed, her symptoms, and nailed her condition after a few days. He never conducted a test without our consent to the cost. He found her rare condition, and was able to treat her. We had her for another 8 months before her body finally gave out. But it was 8 months that we didn't have before that we needed. \r \r Also, I have a black lab. This vet has never been testy with me and has always been very gentle with my dog. I decided to save a few extra dollars and take him to a vet closer to home, and regretted it. That vet was too formal, was testy with me, tried to get me to buy products I didn't need, and tried to get me to buy services I couldn't afford. I learned my lesson and decided to stay with Doc Bailey. I may pay a little more for services, but you get what you pay for. He never pressures me into buying anything. Pros: Friendly, clean, doesn't book animals at the same time. more

Visiting this animal clinic would be a horrbile mistake 10/21/2007

Visiting this animal clinic would be a horrible mistake. I took my new cat to this hospital for a routine check up after adopting her. Leaving this hospital I felt overcharged, cheated and uninformed about my cat's condition. After waiting to finally be seen by the vet I was directed to his teenage son. This was extremely akward as I was expecting to speak to a qualified veterinarian. I should have left then. The vet finally came in and started treating my cat, but unfortunately I felt his skills were lacking. He gave my cat meds without first explaining how much it would cost, if there were any alternatives, or consulting me. The next day I took her to another vet to confirm her condition and she checked out fine. I do not think there was anything wrong with her in the first place and he just wanted money. It was a very aggravating experience and I will never return to this veterinarian. more

The History of Southwest Veterinary Hospital
