Southwest Oklahoma Mri

To paitientinpain, I too was told the exact same thing when I had my last MRI there. I was also furious. I was told the only way I could get my results first (before my doc) was if my doctor wrote a letter to them and said he would allow it. I am going to try that this time, and if I still have problems I will take my business elsewhere. I love the staff there at the Penn facility ,and Joyce is the greatest! They have always treated me with kindness and respect but will definitely go somewhere else if I am not able to get my results first and within a day or two. I don't need that stress. more

This is my first time message. I went in for an mri and when the visit was over they gave me the mri's to deliver to the dr, however they would not give me the results of the mri until the dr had them for 10 days. I asked why and was told by Mike the supervisor that it was an arrangement they made with the dr's so the patient wouldnt get the results before he did. I told Mike that I am paying for these tests and this information is mine, not the dr's. He said it was something they did because patients dont know the results even if they read them and they didnt want to scare the patient. I totally disagree with his assumption that patients are idiots and I for one will never use their servises again and will never reccommend anyone I know to use them. He was extremely presumptious and rude on the phone. This is my body we are talking about and I am the person that is entitled to my information before anyone including the dr that ordered it. Making a deal wilth a dr without the patients written permission should be illegal. The patient should always get the information about themselves before anyone period. So Mike and to all your Southwest Oklahoma Mri clinics you will never get my bussiness again. All Patients out there that feel the same as I do please speak up. Its your body and no one has the right to hold back information on your illness or disease for 10 days so the dr can review it first. That information is yours and only yours. You are the one sharing it with the dr, however he does not and never will take precedence over you the patient period. Pros: Thumbs down. Office staff should be ashamed of making deals with Dr's. I really enjoyed the caring attitude of the staff. They really helped me get through the MRI. My results were given to my doctor faster than I expected. more
