Worst

I used to love going here, and I bought alot of my furniture there. Then I made the mistake of taking my husband in and he broke a platter that was sitting precariously on a table...

I used to love going here, and I bought alot of my furniture there. Then I made the mistake of taking my husband in and he broke a platter that was sitting precariously on a table. The price wasn't marked and they made him buy the platter and 8 dishes for $450. We had no room to bargain. Since then we have seen this going for no more than about $150. I haven't been back since (about 2 years) because I have seen how they will treat a customer who is in a pickle. more

Good Shopping! 9/11/2009

I love shopping here! It's just the right size for casual browsing. They have reorganized in the last year to become more tidy with more attractive displays. I've found the prices reasonable and the staff helpful but not hovering. Good place. more

I've been shopping and browsing at SA&C for decades. They're always so friendly and knowledgeable. The store is always neat and clean and the conure is charming, but don't get your finger near his cage! more

One of Houston's Best Kept Secrets for Reasonably Priced Antiques 6/26/2007

Southwest Antiques at the corner of Bissonnet and Belaire is a fantastic resource for collectors, antiques dealers, designers/decorators and those just looking for that one-of-a-kind gift for that special person. You may shop in complete comfort and safety, no poking through cluttered or dusty stacks to find a treasure, treasures are in plain view and priced to sell. Its not a museum where staff don't care if the merchandise moves or not. The staff is friendly, motivated, informed, and customer service is their number one priority. I highly recommend shopping at Southwest Antiques and Collectibles for a great afternoon six days a week, undoubtedly the "Best Show In Town"! more

Antiques for hours 8/21/2005

This is a queit little store in the southwest part of Houston where you can find many great gifts for some of the hard to shop for friends and relatives in your life. I am not a big antique collector myself but only because I don't have the space at home. If you know what you're looking for or if you just want to stumble across something unexpected, this is a charming little shop that you'll want to come back to. more
