This store easily carries around 500 different beers. The selection includes beers from all of the microbrews you have never heard of, and they even hang up beer advocate ratings around most of the beers. You can grab an empty 6 pack and fill it with singles of all the beers you find interesting also to allow you to sample individual beers before purchasing a 6 pack. The liquor and wine selection looks pretty standard for a state liquor store. Ignore the review from the person who either owns the gas station, or just didn't walk look at the beer selection. This is the state store nearest my home, so my friends and I shop here rather often. We've come to have a grudging love for this haphazard little place over the years. Spirits of all kinds, and a large wine selection. The staff is helpful if you need it, but sometimes you have to find someone of age to ask a question about a product. The big drawback here is the beer selection. They have your standards - domestics, plus Heineken and the like, but nothing rare or just plain interesting. Perhaps people in my neighborhood don't go for the interesting stuff or something, but the liquor store is where I'd like to think I can find any type of alcohol I want, or at least discover something new. The Citgo station down the street (across from the PH fire department) actually has the best beer selection in town, and at the lowest prices. more
