Delicious Cakes and Desserts 4/7/2011

I had their Old Fashion Chocolate Cake as the groom's cake for my wedding and it was AMAZING! Chocolate Peanut Butter Mouse Cake is another favorite of my husbands. When I order desserts at restaurants in Decatur, I always ask if they got their desserts from Southern Sweets because I know they will be delicious! more

Great Desserts & Sandwiches! 3/12/2010

Great desserts, but fantastic sandwiches. There is a home made black bean burger that is baked, and is amazing. Vegetarian husband gets it 95% of the time. BBQ pork sandwich is amazing. Desserts are awesome. They have the best rustic cherry pie - amazing crust and a perfectly tart filling. Pros: Home made Black Bean Burger! Cons: Getting refills for iced tea is not easy. more

Best Bakery in Atlanta 3/9/2009

Great sweets!! I haven't tried the sandwiches but will. I usually can't get past the dessert case. I ordered my birthday cake here last year and it was a big success at my get together. It is also a great place to get a huge slice of cake! Pros: Great desserts more

Best in Atlanta 7/25/2008

In my opinion, this has to be the best bakery in Atlanta. Everything I have had there was terrific. Fantastic desserts along with great sandwiches. The chicken salad is incredible. I would highly suggest that if you need a cake you go there. Pros: Great selection of cakes and sandwiches Cons: May be out of the way for some but its worth the drive more

Delicious Cakes 6/29/2007

Southern Sweets made our wedding cake. Ashley was very easy to work with and did a phenomenal job creating just the cake we asked for. It was one of the few cakes that I have ever had that I thought actually tasted good (and it was delicious). I've also had many of their other delicious sweets - each is better than the one before it. This is a family-run business and it shows in the attention they give to detail, food quality, and service. I just wish it wasn't so far away from where I live! Pros: delicious sweets, personalized service Cons: too far from where I live more

Best desserts around 2/6/2005

The place to go when you need a dessert for a pecial occasion. Southern sweets has the best cakes and pies in the area. Picking a favorute would be too hard. Their new lunch menu is great, albeit alittle pricey. Don't forget a tub of their homeade Boursin cheese spread or pimento cheese. Pros: High quality bakery, large lunch selection, great service Cons: can be pricey more
