I like southern lanes because of the people that are their and to mention the people their are extremely friendly. And i can learn how to bowl all over again, and that is my dream to become a professional bowler. \r ?????? more

Smoke Free? 12/29/2008

Southern Lanes has never been "Smoke Free". Not even the 1st year at the new place. What I do know is that my child has asthma and we have never had a problem going there. They have great ventilation. 10 years ago you never heard people say "I had to spend my money else where" due to smoking. Now that the smoking ban issue has come up it seems everyone now can't be around smoke. Same people that were at the mall shopping 10 year ago. There was smoking even at the mall. more

plenty to do 11/22/2008

I 've been here many times. It's a great place to take the family and it's a good place for adults too. If the kids get tired of bowling there's always the arcade. There is a bar with several pool tables for the adults. With so many things to do money gets wasted quick here. Pros: great overall place to go Cons: can get expensive more

Great place! 1/25/2008

I frequently visit Southern Lane with my kids and I have no complaints. It is a great family place with so much to do. I see some are concerned with smoking. The whole back area which includes the arcade, mini golf, and party rooms are smoke free for the kids. However, I do not smoke and have never noticed it to ever be smoky even in the bowing area. It's just an all around great place. more

Great Time!!! 1/22/2008

I love going to Southern Lanes! I've never had a bad time there. As for the users who complain about the smoking, Ive never been to a bowling alley that doesnt allow smoking. There's not too many places in Kentucky where there is a smoking ban. more

Why Can't We Have a No-Smoking Section for Children? 1/6/2008

My children, ages 5 and 13, love to go bowling, but unfortunately we are forced to find other places to spend our money because of the heavy smoke inside the building. Both my children have asthma, and the last time we were there to bowl with some friends they had to have a breathing treatment due to respiratory distress. Is it too much to ask for a non-smoking area for children? more

great but... 11/12/2007

when the new facility opened i was THRILLED it was smoke free. a year later some friends and i go back only to discover they allow smoking therefore, i won't be returning until it is smoke free again but i'm sure it won't matter to them if one customer is unhappy and won't return. more

Day of Bowling 11/28/2005

The Bowling Alley, has been one of the favorite hang outs for my 2 teenage boys for a long long time. I have always felt safe and knew that they would be alright there. They really like it now that they have moved and it has alot more stuff and things for them to do. It is so much larger and have so much more for the guys to do. Also at a very affordable rate. I know that kids these days must get tired of always going to movies, and so I just want everyone to know that the Southern Lanes is a great change. more

Nice Bowling Alley! 10/22/2005

Southern Lanes moved into their new facility about 1 year ago -- and it is very nice! Very modern and up to date! Their personnel working there are always pleasant and helpful. They even have inside mini-golf and a gameroom. They do birthday parties for all ages with pretty good rates. more
