Southern Flair Photography

First thing first. I don't know who wrote that last review cause they are CRAZY for writing it! OMG! I booked Southern Flair for my wedding photographs and portraits for my April 2011 wedding. Reasons why I booked them 1) they did my best friend's wedding; 2) location was easy to get to plus their backyard is great for outdoor portraits; 3) friendly people. While Dwayne did my friend friend's wedding a year ago he wasn't available for mine but Heather was. The bridal portraits she took made my mom cry (happy tears) and out of all she took we found 40 that were just great. It was hard too choose which one to display at the wedding. As for the wedding itself, yes there were some hicups but not Heather's fault at all (i blame a bridesmaid). But in all I had to add about 30 photos to what was included in my package. Just so many good ones! Heather if you ever read this I want that ""sweet kiss"" image as a wall portrait some day. I already have that sunset pic already hanging in our so called formal dining room. The only reason why I didn't give Southern Flair a perfect 5 stars is no one is totally perfect but these people are very good at what they do. more

My youngest was married in a lovely ceremony Dec 2008. She had a large church wedding with an even larger dinner / reception that went beautifully, except for the photographer from Southern Flair Photography. The photographs look unprofessionaly, the lighting was bad used, most photos are not centered or staged with any symetre (sp), in short they are just badly taken photographs. The owner's daughter was the photographer and she arrived late to the church and was not dressed correctly and behaved badly, she only had 15 minutes to get in any early photographs, she had not scouted the location and did a very bad job with the natural lighting, she acted like each photograph was costing her too much money (even though she was suppose to take 3000-4000 photos for us that day), and lacked any understanding on how to photograph a catholic wedding ceremony (after we had been assured that Southern Flair Photography ""had lots of experience in this area""). She was lazy, uncreative, and just rude. We have group photo's taken after the ceremony where Ms. Heather did not bother to make sure you could see everyone before she took the pictures. She rushed everyone, insulted the priest, and refused to take more that one picture of most family groups. We do not evern have a photo of the bride with her brother and sister together at the church. Unfortunately, for us the reception photography was worse. Cons: poor quality photographs, unprofessional & lazy photographer more
