Very Friendly 10/26/2011

I just started going to Dr. Updike. He has been very friendly. I like that he doesn't jump straight to filings when there is the possibility to bring the tooth back to health on its own (i.e. more flossing and brushing). I am having a crown done now and am pleased with the work thus far. He and his assistant sat me down and talked about the pros and cons of all types of crowns. I would recommend him to others most definately. more

Great Dentist. He's young, friendly, approachable and talkative without being overly so. No invasive forced conversation. I loved that they offered communication through texts so I didn't have to slog through voicemails and callbacks. They listen to music through pandora and allow you to choose your musical preference which was another great touch. more

I have been going to South Temple Dental for over 2 years now, When I first started going to the Dr. Shakespeare I was terrified, I used to have a huge issue going to any dentist....... until I went to South Temple Dentistry. I was diagnosed with Periodontal Disease, Which just happens to be a series of very painful deep deep gum cleanings. They have been absolutely great!!! Dr. Shakespear has always been very gentle and caring and I have made a full recovery. I can finally say I no longer dread going to the dentist. Pros: They have always been so nice and gentle Cons: I have never had any issues more

They Would Rather Whiten Teeth Than Help Patients in Pain 11/19/2006

I went to South Temple Dental because the are located close to my house, and I have regretted it ever since. What should have been a routine root canal turned into an 8 hour ordeal that ended with a drill being broken off in my tooth. They took two more eight hour visits to put the crown on, and a year later the tooth started to hurt again (something that should not happen if a root canal is properly done). Cons: incompetent practice more
