Excellent Experience with South Hills Electric! 7/10/2011

Our A/C went out on one of the hottest days of summer, we called South Hills Electric after 9 pm on a Sunday and they were quick to send out a technician. Pat did an excellent job checking our system and was able to find the problem quickly. He had us up and running in no time and he took the time to explain to us what he had done to fix the problem. The price for the part they installed and the cost of Pat coming out was extremely reasonable, especially for an after hours call. We are very impressed with their service and price, highly recommend using South Hills Electric! more

Extraordinary Business 7/10/2011

I called South Hills Electric because my air conditioning wasn't running properly. They sent a technician out right away to diagnose the problem. The technician noticed that my a/c was very old and suggested that I have a new one put in. I was a little uneasy at first but I decided to have it done because I had heard that new air conditioning systems save money in the long run. South Hills Electric was very flexible; willing to meet the needs of my hectic schedule. They had a brand new a/c put in at a fair and affordable price and now my home is colder than ever inside and I'm already noticing a BIG difference in my electric bill! Thank you South Hills Electric! more

Great Guys 7/7/2011

I called South Hills Electric Heating and Cooling out to take a look at my AC unit that did not seem to be running as efficiently as it had the previous summer. The tech that came out was very professional and seemed to really know his stuff....long story short my AC is pumping nice cold air again and I am a happy customer. more

High Prices - get a second opinion. 7/1/2011

The technicians were courteous, but quoted a price of $900 to replace a blower fan motor (a small, $50 part that takes 1 hour to install). They then tried to convince me that it was more cost-efficient just to spend $3,500 on a new furnace, and pressured me to sign the contract right there. I got a second quote from a competing business and was glad I did. My AC works, and for less than 1/4 of the price that SHE quoted me. Get a second quote from another company before proceeding with work that these scam artists recommend. Or, better yet, don't even bother calling South Hills Electric. It's not worth the $85 they'll charge you just for showing up at your door. more

Pittsburgh Furnace Installation Specialists 10/28/2010

I had the best experience with South Hills Electric Heating Cooling. They installed a new furnace and ac in my home and I couldn't be happier. The men were polite and receptive to my needs - (dog). Use these guys and you'll be happy too. more
