South Florida Fairgrounds

Theres no better place to be than at the South Florida Fair. Ive been going for my whole life as far back as I can remember (Im 23 now) and its been GREAT EVERY YEAR! Plenty of food, rides, and cool stuff to look at and spend unnecessary money on in the Expo Center. I personally cant guarantee the safety of the rides but who trusts carnies? If YOU do, Go CHECK IT OUT and youll have an awesome time! more

the south florida fair is not a great fair. its has a couple of attractions and the lines are very long. i thought that the only good part of the fair is the donoughts and the hypnotist. the hypnotist will blow your brains out. ive heard that the big roller coaster had to be taken away beacuse too many people got hurt on it. more

As most people know the South Florida Fairgrounds hosts the annual South Florida Fair every January. If you and/or your kids like carni rides, then you have to check it out. If, like me, that's not your thing, you can stroll through the Expo Center and learn about whatever theme the year brings (last year was Vermont). For the younger set there's also a petting zoo and pig races. That was fun to watch! Usually parking is included in ticket prices, but it's such a maze getting in and out; good luck remembering where you parked! Throughout the year there are also other events going on here for families (like at Easter), crafter's (Buckler's craft fair), and various collectors (antiques, guns, computers, etc.) Admission price varies, so call ahead or look it up on the Internet. more

There is always something going on here. Whether it's the fair or other family-friendly event. This year we went to the Easter event sponsored by South Florida Parents magazine. It was so much fun! The line was unbelievably long to get in, but it was worth the wait as there were pony rides, a huge slide, mini bumper boats, crafts and a cute Elmo Live show. Can't wait 'til next year! more
