This group actually has well trained, skilled physicians. Unfortunately, their emphasis is on physician productivity, not patient care. Dealing with the front desk staff is the medical equivalent of the DMV. Wait times for the doctors can be very long, and don't expect any explanation or apology. Dr Moscow did my hand surgery, and when I would talk to him he would nod and not say much. Initially I thought he was taking it all in and being very considerate. Later I realized he was actually not really listening. After my hand surgery, my care, for the most part, was turned over to his physician assistant. I do not have a problem seeing a non-MD, but more of the follow up should be done by the doctor that performed the surgery. Sometimes I had a question specifically for Dr Moscow, but could not get an answer. I came to realize that the nurses, (unlike most offices where they can be an advocate, get questions answered for you) have a different purpose here. Their job is to keep the doctor on schedule, and attend to their needs. SCOS could be an outstantding group--if only their priority was to put the patient first.
