This is definitely a 5 star practice. We always know from the moment we walk in that the friendly staff up front is a great beginning to a positive experience for our pets. Top quality medicine is what your pets get here. Kindness and sincerity is always felt, not only to our cats, but to us, the owners as well. more

Dr. Michelle and Dr. Rick are incredible. They are very knowledgeable and their staff is amazing. We have been going here for years. I would recommend them to anyone. No competition! more

Greatest 5/28/2014

As usual - great service and Rick is the greatest. He has been my vet since 1984 and will continue to be my vet as long as I have pets. I think that says it all! You guys rock! :) more

Will recommend this Vet Hospital over any in MH And Thanks to all the staff for being so nice and friendly.\r Best veterinarian ever! Dr. Rick has been our vet since 1998, and we won't take our pets anywhere else. His ability to connect with animals and diagnose their problems is amazing to witness, and he knows how to explain treatment options so you understand your choices and the costs involved. We have taken cats to him, prepared to say our\r last goodbyes, and Dr. Rick has sent us back home with a treatment plan that gave us more quality time with our beloved pet. He is nothing less than brilliant in emergency situations and has consistently made us thankful that he is out vet.     ***Dr. Rick Leininger*** - Rick grew up on a small ranch in San Martin, California. He received his Doctorate from U.C. Davis after completing undergraduate work at Cal Poly, in San Luis Obispo.

    Rick has over 12 years experience in veterinary medicine. Rick stays current with the latest technology and medical advancements through annually updating his skills with ongoing educational programs.

    ***Dr. Hilary Wheeler*** - Dr. Hilary Wheeler graduated from Tufts University with special recognition in Ophthalmology. She joined South County Animal Hospital in 1998 and attends continuing educational conferences annually in order to stay current with the latest advances in veterinary medicine and surgery. Hilary is currently enrolled in a veterinary medical acupuncture course, through which she hopes to offer complimentary treatment options to benefit both her patients and clients.

    We provide complete medical, surgical and dental services for dogs, cats and other small animals.

    In addition to general preventative and outpatient care, our hospital is fully equipped with an in-house laboratory, pharmacy, X-ray, dental capabilities and surgical suite.
