TOTAL CRAP!!!! this place is not a legit bartending school. They claim to be a training facility that gives you a certificate at the end of the program. BS. why pay $400 for a training facility? that has no license and no accreditation. Took my deposit and denied a refund. They really dont care about you just your money. STAY AWAY!!! you will not get a professional job attending this place. more

I took this class and it was the best thing I have done. The instructors were there whenever I needed help and I landed a job a week after finishing the course.They even have two events to do right after finishing the course. The instructors have alot of years experience and this course is a great investment and you wont be disappointed. more

SCAM. they steal your money. dont go here. they tell you its 100 then charge you 500 and there liscenses are not legit. more

South Beach Bartending is nothing but a SCAM! I worked there as a ""staffing coordinator"" and trust me, I felt dirty at the lies I used to have to tell to get people in to the school. Caveat emptor!!! more

I feel that the people who feel this location is a scam really just have not applied themselves after graduation. South Beach Bartending sets u up with everything you need to succeed AND they let you work TWO events to gain experience before you actually go to work in the field. I made great friends in class and establish awesome business relationships with my instructors that have opened many doors. I can imagine having taken this course anywhere else. This school is unlicensed and has a F with the Better Business Bureau. This school advertises on Craigslist all the time promising jobs, which is how we found it. Turned out to be not what we thought. Please do your research and always go with a licensed school. This school will leave a bad taste of bartending in your mouth. Derek Fonseca who is part owner is a known scam artist and will take your money with a smile. I paid for my sister and i to take his school. We went in and spoke with him and we neverrr saw him again. The instruction was average at best and obviously and the instructor didnt care about us at all. He even referred to me as ""hey you"" After the class everywhere we went on South Beach to apply for jobs we got pretty much laughed out of every bar we went in just because we took this school. Be careful. more

This school was NOT voted best anything by Citisearch. South Beach bartending school has been operating illegally, without any sort of license, and has been scamming people for years. They are rated a F with the BBB and take a look at all the negative google reviews, what a joke!. The owner Derek Fonseca was fired from Nikki Beach over 10 years ago, has one of the worst reputations on the beach and has been running his scam school ever since. Every year or so when he is forced to shut down he picks up and moves his operation and starts over. For anyone that has taken this class like me (over 2 years ago now) and is not bartending and was filled with nothing but false promises with no job placement whatsoever you can get your money back! Contact your lawyer and have them call South Beach bartending directly (305-200-2277 or Contact the Florida Department of Independent education and report what over 100 other people have(850) 245-3200 . Don't make my mistake please. I just saw this review, obviously written by someone who works for South Beach Bartending and it made my blood boil. I do not even know how this school is still operating. Dont take my word for it... DO YOUR RESEARCH PLEASE! more

So I heard about this place through a friend of mine who took the bartender certification course and had a great outcome. I have always thought bartending was the scene for me but never really knew how to get into it. Well, I decided to sign up for their 2 week course and was thrilled with the results. Not only did I learn all the legalities and functions of a bartender position but the school gave me two gigs upon graduation so I can get my foot in the door. I really feel like this is definitely the best spot to start for anyone in the Miami metropolitan area due to the extensive hands-on training offered. The instructor was really knowledgable about his stuff. I figured if I wanted to be the best bartender at the hottest venues, I would have to learn from the best. Afterall, I am so thrilled that I signed up for this school because it really helped me get all aspects of bartending within my grasp and has been quite the investment. people wait for hours to get a cut from fabian cos it's that good.\r \r i've had my hair cut by super-expensive folks for modelling and tv shows. i've had cuts that cost $500. i've had cuts from the best in San Francisco and New York.
