I found this spa to be completely unique. It is sparkling clean. Not only did I get the best massage ever, I was given the best care. I have a disability and was given complete attention. I left feeling better than I had in a long time! more

Okay, BEWARE...This is not an IDEAL SPA trampeling through a desserted mall. It is creepy in some way . We show up and the therapist had her boyfriend check us in (his shirt had old food stains on it and he looked like he hadn't showered). At this point, I almost walked out, but my husband and I had an evening out (without our son) and wanted to relax. While the session was relaxing, the therapist had no pressure in their hands, other than the stones so this was no deep tissue or a way to help your body, just a place to relax and lay down and hear the music and smell the scents. If your looking for a spa experiance, DO NOT GO HERE. more

My poor girlfriend bought me a massage here (a couples massage for us) for our anniversary. She is a former massage therapist (trained with hot stone) and was totally disappointed. I was heartbroken that she wasted her money, and I was so upset when I left I could hardly contain myself. I was very specific about what I wanted done, and it was like they IGNORED every area I told my therapist to focus on. Furthermore, I told them I like a lot of pressure... after having clammy, weak, languid hands rub oil on me for ten minutes, I insisted she "could use significantly more pressure", to which she replied, "I don't use pressure, I use movement." I wanted to get up and leave. This might as well have been an hour long sun screen application, because at no point did my therapist use any more force than I use when applying lotion to my own skin. This was a pathetic massage, it was really expensive, and I left more stiff, frustrated and annoyed than I had been all day. Avoid this place. The mall is deserted and this place should be too. more

My daughter and I received to most wonderful couples massage you can imagine yesterday. We sighed all the way home. I highly recommend this service to one and all. It's the best ever! more

I have had 4 lackluster stone massages and was about to give up on the whole pursuit of this seemingly luxurious indulgence, when I went to Sound Stone with Jackie. This massage was the best of 5!! The foot stones weren't too big so as to cramp my toes (like has happened in other massages) and the back stones were expertly positioned. I was skeptical of the head phones because I thought they would get in the way somehow, but was surprised by how much I enjoyed the sound and that it enhanced the experience. She also spent alot of time explaining the history of the massage and what to expect. She also took time to consider my other massage experiences and what I wanted out of the appointment. I first experienced Sound Stone Massage about a year ago. It is the best massage I've ever had! My wife and I have been undergoing a lot of stress lately, and I decided to take my wife with me this time. We both just felt totally relaxed and de-stressed afterward. The ambiance - the music - the sound table vibrations - the hot and cold stone massage therapy - the whole experience is really the best around. My husband bought this gift cert for me because I was incredibly stressed with an illness in the family. Jackie offered empathetic understanding and an incredible soothing and healing massage. I had never had hot stone massage before and I don't know that I'll ever have anything besides one now! My boyfried bought me a gift certicate for a deep tissue body massage and I kept putting it off. I finally used it and have already asked him to buy me another for my christmas gift. Jackie was amazing. She took the time to talk to me as to what I wanted out of the massage... relaxation, pain relief, health reasons. After talking she spent the first part of the massage concentrating on the area that I requested and then the second half was a general body massage. She also puts headphones on you so that you can listen to soothing music. Which I really liked because I have been to some places where they want to talk to you the whole time which does not help in the relaxation process. The bed adds to the massage also by feeding the music vibrations into your body. The stones that she uses are awesome. The rounded edges soothe the muscle tension differently and better than any hand massage could ever achieve. The hot stones sent chills up and down my entire body and I could just feel the tension being release. She also uses cold stones. I wasn't sure that I would be able to handle this but after the initial shock they offered something new to relaxing the body. She also explained how the brain recognizes the coldness in the body and then sends more circulation to the area so for therapy purposes it is more effective. Some suggestions I would give: 1)if you wear contacts don't wear them for the massage use your glasses instead. 2) definitely do the deep tissue full body massage with the stone and the theraptuic bed. 3) don't be in a rush to get in and get out... take the time to talk to Jackie and enjoy your short time of relaxation. Hot Stone Massage in a warm, cozy environment ... all the stress is gently rubbed away! I had my first hot stone massage 5 years ago and was wary of trying again (in case it wouldn't live up to the first one). I had no reason to worry. From the moment I met Jackie I felt comfortable. We discussed what I liked and didn't like about my prior massage experience, so that she could be sure to do and not do what was important to me. When the hot pebbles were placed between my toes ... I just melted! I just want to say that my first experience with a stone massage was wonderful. I have had other massages, but not like this. The hot stones on my body was a great experience and then the cold ones on my spine was just as great. In my opinion Jackie does a great job of explaining the technique and then applying her knowledge to every part of you body. In combination with this process you have headphones on with the most peaceful music and the heated table. It really makes you forget any problems that you may be having and takes you to another world. After she was done I was so relaxed that I went and had a pedicure at the same place and I have since passed on her name to another co-worker who got a gift certificate for his wife. Wow! This was the first time I have been to Sound-Stone Massage in its new location. Love the new location and the new look. Sleek, sophisticated, and oh so soothing decor was such a treat. Before I even got to the massage room I felt a sense of relaxation from the cool colors and calming music at the reception desk and waiting space. I've loved the last massage I got at Sound Stone and loved this one even more. The staff were professional from the get go and totally responded to my request to pay special attention to my upper right shoulder blade (biking injury). The hot and cold stone treatment eased my pain, swelling, and increased my range of motion. Thanks Sound Stone.... I will be back. Crestwood Plaza is not dead after all! Found the setting immediately warm, relaxing, and inviting. Jackie was quite professional.
