It took forever to get the attention of the waiter and even longer to get a re-make...they should visit Art Cliff on MV and experience a perfect breakfast place... more

Terrific Unique Brunch 5/14/2006

If you get to Sorella's anywhere after 9:15am there'll be a line, but hang out and wait. Sorella's has a truly overwhelming menu, with homemade breads for the french toast, many many omelettes, tons of vegetarian options, and just plain good spirit. The coffee is pretty good and so are the pancakes (again, a bazillion options). This isn't a place you can slip into right before closing, so plan accordingly. more

Best Breakfast 4/18/2006

This place is just amazing for breakfast. My biggest problem there is deciding what to get -- breakfast is already my favorite meal of the day. Do I get eggs (with so many tantalizing omelettes to choose from?)?? Do I get pancakes? If I get pancakes, how can I ever decide which topping to settle on? Or do I get French Toast, because I rarely get that anywhere else? It is truly grueling to narrow down the selection. Of course, you'll have a ton of time to make a decision because this place gets jam packed, and you might be waiting for an hour. Once inside you're also pretty squished, and the waitstaff is a bit frazzled, but it is all worth it. Plus then you don't need to eat lunch because you'll be so stuffed with your delicious breakfast! more

Awesome Sunday breakfast 4/3/2006

This restaurant is one of my top picks for breakfast food. They make a mean omelet and you wouldn't even know it was vegetarian. I love their spinach and goat cheese omelet. They make it with mushrooms and garlic and it is to die for. This diner is crowded on Sundays but completely well worth the wait. This is a great experience in the heart of Jamaica Plain. more

Funky and good 2/12/2006

Funky is right! But that is a good thing. Mixed in with all the stereotypical diner items (and pink/green paint) are handwritten signs telling the ingredients of each of the restaurant's menu items (omelettes, pancakes, crepes and french toast) and hands down, no contest, this is about the best breakfast you can find - anywhere! Marvelously inventive omelettes are the speciality. Service can be less than perfect at times (which is why I took off a star) but the kitchen makes up for it. more
