We started with 3 cheeses from 3 different regions and a recommended wine to go with each one. Each cheese was fresh and perfectly paired. We then picked the pate and the escargot as next course. The pate was very nicely spiced, slightly creamy texture and not greasy. The escargots were plump and hot. Nothing spectacular about the escargot but it was nice. I had duck confit and my companion had the lamb special. Both dishes were beautifully prepared and delicious. Duck is sometimes tricky because it can be greasy but not here. For dessert the creme caramel was perfect.\r

I like the aesthetics of Sophies. There is the piano player, Art on the walls that change fairly often. It's a great date and special celebration restaurant. Well worth the 80+ bucks a person if you are going all out (wine & dessert) for dinner for the evening.
Pros: Ambiance, service, quality of food
