Sony Plaza

Dont bother buying Sony Products, I bought a $1700 laptop that developed problems a month and a half in. No problem, these things happen. Sent it in for repair and now almost a month later, still no laptop. Absolutely ridiculous. If you're spending this kind of money, look elsewhere. They don't care once they have your money. Good design, horrible service. more

The Sony Style store(s) sell everything from tricked-out headphones for your ipod to PlayStations (PS3/video games), computers, software, printers, digital cameras, TVS, movies/dvds, digital books, home theater systems, car audio systems, mobile phones, voice recorders and microphones, and MP3 players (ipods?). The new VAIO laptop notebook is their hottest seller. It?s billed as sort of a cheaper MAC? best used for people into making music, photography and movies. It has a built-in program called ?Media Gallery? that actually automatically searches for content on the internet related to what you?re interested in (based on what movies, songs, etc you already have on your computer). The SensMe technology in the computer puts together playlists for you- almost like a custom-made DJ. . They have a trade-in program, EcoTrade, where you can trade in your old electronics/computers (it does not have to be Sony brand) to get store credit at the Sony Style store (via online/mail-in or in-person at the store). This is a great way to save the environment, while saving money too. You can also order replacement parts online, if you?re handy with electronics and want to save money via repair. more

Frankly I never thought I would end up in the Sony Style Store but a friend was visiting from London, and just had to go, so off we went ? and I loved it. Its housed in the same location as Sony?s Headquarters, as well Sony?s Wonder Lab, which is also worth a trip ? its an interactive ?museum? showing you the latest technological gadgets, and while its designed for the kids, my friend and I loved it too, almost as much as the Sony Style Store. The Sony Style Store is like a smorgasbord of their latest and coolest ?stuff? from 3D flat screens and video cameras, to laptops and some pretty amazing accessories. The sales staff is really super helpful, but the store is also really crowded, especially in tourist season. It seems that the Sony Style Store, along with the wonder lab, has become a destination on many visitors and locals ?to do? list. more

The Sony plaza is a great place to see the newest technology at it's best, being showcased in actually real world settings. The TV/Audio section is unbelievable and big. Great to just come to visit as well as it has the Sony center upstairs. more

The store has a lot of interesting things. If you want to see the latest technology, sony store has it all. I, personally wouldn't buy from Sony, because I think its overpriced, but I love this store Pros: very nice stuff more

This Sony store really has a lot of ""style"". Located in the Sony US Headquarters, the store is split into two different components: left side has discmans, mini disc players, cd's etc and the right side has HD TV's, cameras, headphones, and other electronic devices. I have purchased two mini disc players from this place, and yes, I paid a pretty price. Don't be scared when you discover exactly what the items cost in this place. Overall, good service. more

This futuristic looking store carries many of Sony's new cameras, tape recorders and gadgets. It's fun to stroll around, but that's all you should do. Prices are ridiculous. I recently purchased a video camera at a little shop on Madison Avenue for $850. The same camera at Sony Style cost $1150! Service in nonexistent. more
