We had a bad experience with Barry and crew a couple of years ago, moving from Daly City to Sonora. If I had it to do over again, I'd ask for a complete list of all their moves in the past year and call several at random. \r They charged way extra because of a slight hill, which I told them about. more

The necessary sorting, packing and decisions about what to move and what not to move are made easily by your professional guidance throughout the process. You rally resources to help with the dumping,donating and packing. You are always on time! You frequently stay in touch by phone to make sure everything is going as planned, and if there is a problem you are right there with a solution! Five years ago, you moved my 2000 sq ft household from Brook Drive, Sonora to Columbia. Now, five years later you are thankfully on the job to handle all facets of a move from an 1800 sq ft house to a 800 sq ft apartment! -We have made many moves because of my husband's career, including 3 cross-country relocations. Sonora Moving is the worst moving company in our experience, appallingly unprofessional and so bad as to be beyond comparison. \r -Barry, the owner of Sonora Moving, ignored instructions about the destination site and did not give his crew directions. I had to provide them with maps and pictures of the site. A crew of 2 was sent to move the contents of a 2,400 sq. ft. house; the 150-mile move took 4 1/2 days, and we had to hire additional labor at our own expense.\r -Sonora Moving did not provide the proper equipment to make the move to a hillside site with limited vehicular access. The driver attempted to make it up the hill in a truck 10 feet larger than the posted size limit. When he got stuck, he started knocking on doors at 7:30 on a Saturday morning to try to get the neighbors to move their cars.
