I was in their office, trying to rent an apartment in October. They require a $46 (non-refundable) ""application fee"" and a $100 ""holding deposit"", which is refundable if you're not credit approved. I paid both of these fees in cash and was told that I would receive my $100 back immediately, if I was not approved. Well, I was informed of my denial the following day, at which time I was also informed that it would take up to 30 days for them to return my money. Well, guess what....Today is DAY 52 and I still have not received anything from them! I called to follow up a couple of weeks ago and was told, by a different lady, that it could actually take up to 6 weeks for me to receive my refund. (6 weeks was 9 days ago, but who's counting?). I called today and the same lady told me that a check was cut on 12/9, so I should receive it any day. If their policy is to return people's money within 30-45 days, then why did they cut a check for me on the 47th day (in New York)??? This place is a joke! Who do they think they are, the IRS? And how many other people's money are they ""holding hostage""? Don't even attempt to rent here.....There are plenty of other options with better prices, safer locations and much better customer service!!!
