Awsome 6/23/2008

Awsome Service only exceeded by outstanding sushi. Free Valet Parking was wonderful because of the downtown location. Easy in and easy out. This is a must do if you are looking for the best sushi masterly done. Whoever is coordinating this establishment is doing an outstanding job. Thanks for an outstanding evening sono. See you again soon. Pros: Highest quility Food, Service masterpiece, Valet Parking Cons: No cons here more

Great atmosphere, good sushi 5/9/2008

Sono is a terrific restaurant for those of us that work downtown. It is great to have a good sushi place to walk to. They have an awesome sushi lunch special that keeps me there a few times a month! The Screaming O roll is delicious! All of the rolls I have had have been huge - 2 rolls is definitely a large lunch. The atmosphere is terrific, it is really beautiful inside. My only complaints (and these are trivial, really!) are that it is always freezing in there no matter what the temperature outside and the water is disgusting. I think that they must use city water (I have noticed this at other downtown restaurants), but I would think a high scale place like this could get bottled water or filtered. I would highly recommend it though! more

Love, love, love 4/20/2008

I walked in and met a friend at the sushi bar. This is the first time I have ever been here and I am from NY and Miami and only a few weeks here and I felt like I was at home. A very nice gentleman serviced us and I wish I remembered his name he was awesome. The food was great and I will be coming back a least once a week. Pros: love it all more

Loved it again... calimari was a little disappointing this time 4/1/2008

We went to Sono for the second time with friends on a Saturday night... as always the service was excellent, recommendations were top notch, and food was very fresh! We loved all of our sushis, drinks (martini's and mixed drinks are about $10 each- kind of pricey) and the appetizers. My only disappointment this time- was the calimari... the last time we had it (about 2 months ago) it was lightly dipped in tempura- almost barely so. It was out of this world! We raved about it to our friends! This time... it was HEAVILY covered in tempura batter and you almost could not even taste the calimari. Please, Sono, go back to the "lite" version of the tempura calimari... it was so much better... you could enjoy the freshness of the calimari... now you wouldn't know because of all the crunch! We will return again for the FABULOUS sushi! Pros: Food, service, ambience, knowledge of waitstaff Cons: limited parking outside, more

Excellent Sushi !! 3/31/2008

My first Experience was excellent. Service & Food were increadible. The best Sashimi we have ever had. The waiter recomended the Screaming O sushi roll and the Diablo, you need to try them!! Make the trip downtown its worth it. Pros: Parking garage within one block Cons: downtown more

Best sushi and one of the best entrees in triangle...two thumbs up. 3/28/2008

Sushi was great....I had some fishes that I never had before and they tasted delicious. Hard to find places with this fresh and wide variety of sushi around here....I was very pleased. My date had one of their specials with sea bass and risotto and that was great as well. I hope that the food and the quality will be consistant always. I will definitely be back and try other items on their menu. I think I found my new favorite sushi joint. Unless this was a one time thing...I can't see who would not like this place. Glad to have this type of restaurant popping up in the triangle. Pros: Great sushi and food. Valet parking. Cons: Doesn't really have the Japanese restaurant look. more
