Life is too short to spend so much time being unhappy with your body. Some of us, no matter how healthy we are, aren't shaped the way we want. I have spent the greater part of my adult life being disgusted because I carry a disproportionate amount of weight right in my belly. So much so I've had many people over the years ask me if I was pregnant - horrifying and awkward! Clothes have never fit right because once I get something big enough to cover my belly, the pants (size 14) are either hugely baggy in the rear and legs, or the shirts (women's XL) would sag on my small upper half. No matter what weight I would lose when I would be good, my stomach would precede me. For the longest time I thought I couldn't afford it. Then when I could afford it (and it's quite a bit less expensive than I thought - and with 12 month no interest payment options it's VERY affordable), I convinced myself that doing something like this would somehow be morally wrong, that it was some kind of Hollywood decadence to have lipo. That is was somehow fake - if I'd just diet and exercise more, my stomach would miraculously resize itself. Do you know that guilt talking? IGNORE IT! I ignored my guilt, I fought with my husband (who was 110% opposed to my having surgery due to ex-wife plastic surgery issues), and I said ""Yes"" to me. This is YOUR life, this is YOUR time, QUIT being miserable because you weren't born with Angelina's curves. It's been 10 days. I'm already back to size 12 jeans and they are loose (for the first time in years) and I could probably pull up my size 10s if I weren't quite so tender. I walk by mirrors and have to do a double-take because it's so weird to not see my bloated stomach sticking out on my profile. They took 2250 ml of fat out of just my stomach and a little on the sides (more than a 2 litre bottle of pop!) and I can't believe it. I'm shaped like a ""normal"" female for the first time in my life! From the moment you meet with Shab, your Consultant, you'll know this is right for you. If anything, everybody at Sono Bello is just a little bit TOO perky for me, if you know what I mean. From the gal who took my first phone call to schedule (can't remember who it was, but she was great), thru Shab your Cruise Director, to the doctors and ESPECIALLY the fabulous nurses (thank you Becki and ... I'm sorry, I was stoned, but the other one was great too!), it's a very caring, positive and comfortable experience. You don't need to worry about pain, the actual procedure really didn't hurt. I have a 4-hour tattoo on my back that was much more of an ordeal. Pretty sure I fell asleep. Take your MP3 player and some sunglasses (surgery room is bright) and enjoy the nice pharmaceuticals and wake up shaped like you want to be. The after-surgery pain (didn't really start until that night), was uncomfortable but no worse than a bad headache (in your stomach). Is it weight loss? No, it's not. 10 days later I weigh exactly the same as I did going it (swelling probably replacing the fat they sucked out). Will it make me take better care of myself in the future? That is certainly my intent -- but I think even if I don't change my diet and exercise (or lack thereof), I still think I'm going to lose 3 or 4 pants sizes. Is it a ""happiness placebo?"" (my husband's phrase) No, of course nothing can ""make"" you happy if you're dedicated to being miserable, but it is SO NICE not to feel that nagging sense of feeling ugly.To not go through your closet and pass this shirt, and that shirt, and that skirt, because you can't fit in it or it's so tight it makes you uncomfortable. So whatever your ""area"" - do it. The excuses you are making for yourself just excuses. It's OK to do something nice for yourself. It doesn't hurt (OK, it's not that big of a deal), it won't bankrupt you, and you'll get to start wearing all those clothes you've kept for a decade because ""some day you're going to get back into them."" more

I went into Sono Bello hoping that I could do something about my belly fat, I had NO idea that I would have ended up making the BEST decision of my life! Dr. Nyte has changed my life! I was a size 12 and 4 weeks later I am in a 8 and I am having a hard time believing that this is only the beginning of my body transformation! Thank you Dr. Nyte and Staff, Shab and Ashley. I went in for a consultation and walked out with an appointment, I was that confident in my decision after reading the reviews and talking with Shab. My goal was to loose the ""Muffin Top"". I wasn't expecting to see Immediate results, but I did!!! It's been 4 weeks since my body contouring procedure, and I'm happy as a clam. I immediately dropped a size (and I'm still swollen). I can't wait to see what the next 2-3 months brings! I'd been considering lipo off and on for years, and when I received a small inheritance, I knew that was my ""sign."" I met with Shab (who's fabulous, BTW) to discuss my problem areas, and she really helped me understand what could be done, what to expect, and how best to make it happen. Dr. Sharma called me the day after my procedure and continues to make himself available to me. Since my procedure, SonoBello has been calling and e-mailing regularly which I greatly appreciate. Body contouring is not an everyday occurrence (at least in my world!), so their continued follow up has alleviated a lot of anxiety. I love Sono Bello. Theyre entire staff is awesome! They treat you like family and make sure that they meet your needs in as many ways they possibly can. Sono Bello helped me find my confidence again. I have struggled my whole life being overweight and for many years have kept the weight off after lots of hard work, but was never happy with my body. I have heard so much about Sono Bello that I finally made the call and it was the best decision I have made in a long time. My consultation with Shab was amazing, she made everything clear and to the point. I am 5' 2"" and was 140lb before surgery; I am 131lb 10 weeks later. To lose pounds is wonderful, but to gain a body shape that makes me happy is at least ten times better. Before I walked into Sono Bello, I had spent months doing research into laser liposuction. After becoming convinced that it would meet my needs, I quickly decided to have the procedure and the areas for fat removal / body sculpting. I didn't have the expectation about being skinny. I was just seeking some noticeable reduction to my waist, hips, thighs, arms and chin. After I talked to the pleasant Sono Bello specialist, Shab, I learned that I would see results on all areas except for my chin. She said that I had too little fat there and she was afraid that I would be disappointed. I appreciated her thinking for me instead of her business. But I am the kind of person that sees myself in the mirror everyday, so I told her that I still felt like giving it a try. She then advised me to bring up the ""chin"" possibility with the doctor. When I met Dr. Nyte a few weeks later, I told him all my efforts through the years to give my chin a more prominent profile. As an experienced plastic surgeon, Dr. Nyte was very understanding of what I have been through. He told me not too be so hard on myself. Surgery would help some but maybe not noticeably so but he was willing to do it if that was what I wanted. I told him that ""yes"" and I was happy that he could help me. I am happier today because I am satisfied with the result. Yes, the change on the chin area is not much comparing to the much slimmer thighs, tummy and arms, but it still makes a difference to my appearance that I can tell. On my surgery, I had multiple areas done in 2 stages a week apart. I have no complaints at all. With my 2 Cesarian experiences in the past, laser surgery is not big deal. I took a vacation to Maui one month after the procedure. While there was still some residual swelling from the procedures, the slimmer figure was already noticeable! A month after surgery, I was not energetic enough to go snorkeling, but happily fit into my new swimsuit. With a slimmer figure, I have never enjoyed the beaches so much. My sincere thanks to to Sono Bello ... and to Shab. It was an easy and pleasant experience. My biggest thanks goes to the most skillful Dr. Nyte. After years of struggling with my self body image, I finally decided to make a change. I had heard the Sono Bello jingle and decided to make the call! The second I walked into Sono Bello I felt at home and that everyone was truely happy to be there. I met with Shab first and she explained the Laser Assisted Lipo and I knew that was the option for me. She answered all of my questions plus everything I would have never thought to ask and she made me feel totally comfortable with the procedure. Once I met Dr. Sharma I was so excited to get started. He made me feel at ease and had a great personality to match. I had 2 stages of surgery with a week in between. After the first surgery I had lost EIGHT pounds! The second stage went just as smooth. I always hated my arms. I've always been an athlete, but even in my prime of physical fittness I never had nice shapely arms. So, before getting married, I decided that I would no longer look like a line-backer and have beautiful arms to show off in my wedding dress. I found Sono Bello, and the experience was great. Not only were they fast with a consultation, but I had the procedure the next week. Financing was super easy, and the staff was excellent. Dr. Sharma was wonderful and did just what I asked for! I walked 14 miles the day after my surgery (not typical) and my swelling is almost gone at 2 weeks! There is a huge difference in the way my shirts fit, and my fiance now thinks my arms are sexy! He even wants to get his love handles taken care of! I'm a doctor myself, so if something is sketchy about medicine - I would have a pretty good idea of that. I was amazed at the entire experience. There is an energy that runs thru everyone I met. At almost 65 I decided to drop a few inches off my hips and back. Age, weight gain and loss and gravity takes it's toll. No matter how much I exercised, these areas did not respond. The procedure is painless,the team is great and Dr. Sharma listened to what I had to say which is a treat these days. He was also honest in what I should expect with the procedure. If you are in the market for SmartLipo SonoBello Portland is the place to go. I could not have asked for a better group of people to work with during this procedure. I had my stomach and back done after years of losing weight to give myself that final touch and treat for all my hard work. Dr. Chung was amazing, the procedure was so simple and I was literally in and out. The day of my surgery Dr. Chung called to check on me and with it being a Friday gave me his personal cell phone number to call if I experienced and issues or had questions. \r \r Above all Jennifer (the manager of the clinic) is a delight. I had a few issues with what the old marketing person told me during the consult and the result that I saw after 6 months. I'd never had any cosmetic procedures before Sono Bello, and didn't really know what to expect. I knew I wanted to do something about my ""problem areas,"" as despite being active and young I had areas I just couldn't exercise away. I heard the commericals for Sono Bello, and although I knew someone having smartlipo elsewhere, I decided to give them a try. Sono Bello was by far less expensive than the place my friend went to. The staff there are wonderful - kind, caring, attentive, and knowledgeable. They're open on Saturdays which works great with my schedule. I was really impressed with my doctor (Dr Nyte), he has good beside manner and he took the time to answer my questions. I've been doing Vela since my smart lipo, and I love the Vela techs. I've never had a bad experience here - they're kind, accomodating, and easy to work with. Definitely worth the money!! more

I went into this opportunity not knowing exactly what to expect with this worn and unattended body of mine. Dr Nyte was very informative, and made me feel at ease about the procedure. Breanne saw me on my first month check and filled me in on what exactly was going on and what to expect now. But of course we can't forget Shab...... up beat personality, very enthusiastic, and greets everyone with that pretty smile. I can't say enough about the rest of the staff. Hello, I just wanted to let folks know that if you have things that you would like to improve about yourself, Sono Bello is truly the place to go. They offer a wide range of services for all body types. I came in very depressed about my body shape and not being able to make any improvements on my own.
