Sonny's Real Pit Bar-B-Q

The restaurant we had planned to visit was closed so we stopped off at Sonny's. We sometimes go to our local one in New Port Richey. Our server was very friendly and showed us the lunchtime specials. I had the roast beef sandwich and salad bar for $6.99 and Len had the pork sandwich, salad bar, and a soda for $8.49. The salad bar was fresh and plentiful. We had our sandwiches on garlic bread and they were great. Then I went up a second time for dessert. Fresh fruit. An inexpensive lunch. This deal is available from Monday to Friday. more

We have eaten in our local Sonny's Real pit B.B.Q several times and enjoyed the food. We had to the beach at Clearwater today and on the way back decided to find somewhere to eat. We noticed a sign for a Sonny's Real Pit B.B.Q. We went in and was greeted by very friendly greeter. She led us to our table. We had only been seated a moment when our server (Jo-Ann) came and took our drink order. When she returned we gave our order. Sue decided to try the beef on garlic bread, this included the salad bar for $6.99. I decided to have the pork on garlic bread and the salad bar. I had a soda which came with the meal for $8.49. We started on the salad bar. The salad bar had such an incredible choice. It could have been a meal on its own. Our server held our main meal until we had finished our salads. She as very attentive. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone. We will go back and try other meals. A great experience. more
