Watch out for the price 10/20/2008

The old Sonia's was the best I honestly believe that you could not get better mexican food anywhere. But the last few times I went I felt like I was getting shafted. The price (even thou I ordered the same thing) was never the same. The bill always fluctuated from 1 to 2 dollars different. The salsa is either great or terrible. more

A good restaurant. Not Great, but Good 8/23/2006

We went on a Friday night and it was PACKED!! Figured that was a good sign. The food tasted good and we'll go back because to be honest, there's not a lot of selection for mexican food in the area. The service was bad the night we went tho...sooooo busy and had about 5 different waiters/waitresses serving us...plus took about 30 minutes for our food to be brought out. But it tasted good. We'll probably go back on a Monday or Tuesday when it's .99c for kids meals. more

Decent Mexican food 4/11/2006

Sonia's serves decent but typical Americanized Mexican food. They are a little bit more expensive than other Mexican restaurants, El Camino for example. The food is good but portions are pretty small. The staff is very friendly however and on weekends they have live music. If you have a craving for some chips & salsa this is the place for you! more

An Okay Place for Mexican 8/26/2005

Sonia's is okay all the way around- okay, but not great. The atmosphere is a little cheesy- trying to look authentic, but doesn't quite make it. It is family friendly and the service it pretty good. Compared to the other Mexican restaurants around the food here is just okay. Servings are on the small side, but meals are also cheap. This place isn't worth the drive, but if you are in the area and craving Mexican then this will satisfy the craving. more
