Smooth Sailing for the rest of my Lilfe 5/15/2012

When I think about living at Somerby, I compare it to living on a cruise ship with smooth sailing for the rest of my life. So, what does a cruise ship have that we don't? We have a lovely dining room serving great food. We have a swimming pool, a beauty shop, a movie theater, a variety of games to play (including Bingo!), all kinds of exercise classes, wonderful parties, wonderful speakers and a super staff who is always there for us. And we can always go "ashore" by using Somerby's bus service. I'm blessed to be able to drive so I can shop at places all convenient to Somerby. Of, course, we may all get ill from time to time but never "seasick"! I could go on and on about how great it is to live at Somerby, but I'll close by mentioning my favorite activity here - When day is done and I've participated in the activities of my choice, I love returning to my "cabin" to relax either by reading, watching TV, playing computer games and then going to bed for a wonderful night's sleep. more

Safe and Secure at Somerby 11/18/2011

After my husband died 3 1/2 years ago, I decided to stay in our home here in Mobile. As time passed, I realized that the upkeep was getting to be too much for me, and I did not feel comfortable being there alone! My decision to move to Somerby was not an easy one, but I have no regrets since moving in. The staff has been gracious and helpful, and the residents have all been so friendly and welcoming to me. I have enjoyed meeting new friends, as well as entertaining old friends in my new Somerby apartment. I know that my dear husband would be happy about my decision! Most of all, I feel safe and secure at Somerby, and my family is so happy that I'm safe and happy! Stevie Eudy more
