Lived here for a couple month and its been starting to get hotter but i moved here from arizona so the heat hasn't bothered me much. guess it was a little warm in my apartment but I just thought that's how it was here with acs...turns out its not and they fixed it right away. the difference in how much cooler it is today was really noticable and im really happy with the maintenance here. nice surprise more

Just moved in a month ago and my bedroom ceiling fan light went out, whatever it happens- so I put a work order in and came home the next day to find THEY PUT IN BRAND NEW FAN!! So much better than I expected! LOVE THIS PLACE ALREADY!!Thank Sombra Del Oso, off to a great start!! more

I just moved in to these apartments about a month ago, and have had a great experience so far. The office staff is amazing! They are very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. The apartment isnt the biggest out there but it is perfect for me and my dog Rusty. It was hard to find a place that would accept Rusty because he is a 65 lb lab, but these apartments did. There are lots of trees and grass as well. A nice place. more

I just moved in last weekend and couldn't be happier!!! My apartment is super cute & all mine!!! Feels good to live at such a nice place for the price I got....AND WITH A WASHER/DRYER!!I love the area too, not really familiar with the west side but everything is super close and convenient! GREAT PLACE!!!! more

After I moved back to NM, I've been living with my sister and the decision to move was tough....too many choices out there with so much to consider, forgot how exhausting looking for a new place was! I love the West side though and it's close to work, trying to find something nice in my price range wasn't easy though, until I looked here. Originally looking for just a 1 but I ended up getting a great deal on the 2 bedroom here, it is a little smaller than the others I looked at but with a washer & dryer, AND an ice maker, AND under $700, I couldn't pass it up! Way nicer than the place I was living in Phoenix!!Super excited to move, happy with my choice...finally!!! more

Fantastic price with a washer & dryer!!! Hate looking for apartments almost as much as I hate looking for a car, and I had to do both this week!Blaaaah! I must say I actually had fun at this place though! The girls in the office made it an adventure. Qualifying was a little hard but I am now all moved in and the headache is over! Couldn't be happier, great place!! more

AMAZING PRICE FOR THE AREA!!! My buddy & I looked at this place recently and are SUPER STOKED to move in! Got a great deal WITH a washer/dryer (which maybe) just might help with doing laundry haha! It's sooo cold right now, who wants to take their laundry outside?! The girls who helped us in the office were fun, helpful & made the entire experience a blast!!Plus,they're cute which certainly doesn't hurt :) This place is ""with it"" too, everyone pays rent ONLINE! Pumped we don't have to write checks or go get money orders for rent anymore, it's about time apartments do this! Bravo Sombra Del Oso for keeping with the times!! I wouldn't normally do something like this but when I was looking online, I saw a lot of negativity out there... so since I had an awesome experience, I figured why not share the good as well?! May as well try to help anyone moving if I can, it's tough out there! We went to sooo many places, tons of choices! THIS PLACE IS ONE OF THE GOOD ONES!! Happy hunting people! more

I am recently going through a divorce, so looking for a new apartment was not my idea of a fun time, at all. I went to so many, I couldn't tell the difference anymore-until I went here. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two energetic and smiling faces, not something I ran across with many of the other places I went. Still not happy about being on my own for the first time since I was in high school, these two young ladies reminded me a lot of my daughters and they did manage to make it fun for me. The price fit my range and although it wasn't as big as my house, it was perfect for me and my dog...plus, it had a washer dryer which was a huge bonus for what I will be paying. The process was a lot easier than I expected, and as scary as it is, I am now a little excited to have my own place again. The location is great too by the way, it's kinds of tucked away in a really nice area but really close to everything too, including freeway access. So I just want to say thanks to Barry and Alyssia (I think those were their names) for helping me through a tough change! :/ more

I just moved into Sombra del Oso apartments and have to say that the office staff made it so easy for my daughter and I to truly enjoy our move. Would highly recommend! more

I've lived at Sombra del Oso now for almost 3 years. And I can honestly say that I think the office staff and maintenance are awesome! I recently called in a work order for my dryer and the maintenance was very prompt and although they couldn't fix the problem, they replaced my dryer with a new one. The office staff and maintenance are always very friendly and helpful more

I wanted express my appreciation to the staff at Sombra del Oso apartments where I currently live. I have lived there now for almost two years. No matter what I go into the office for, whether it's good or bad, the office staff and maintenance are great! They try their hardest to fix whatever problem I may have in my apartment. Granted the property is a little older, but they really keep it up inside and out. I would definately recommend this property because of the great service I receive.
