Worst Experience of My Life! The girl who checks the insurance wanted ME to do HER job. She somehow couldn't get my insurance info FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY! They were more than happy to tell me I couldn't use my groupons for vein removal untill I get surgery with Dr. Chang for $4,200.00 no less. Left countless messages for someone to call be back and when someone would I all I would get was lame excuses on how they cannot find out my insurance benefits. Totally dropped the ball. All they want is rich people that will drop a ton of cash on the spot. They could careless about the patients who are not rich. The receptionist is the rudest person I have ever encountered. STAY AWAY!!!!! more

I recently made a trip to Florida and I took the opportunity and had a procedure done at Soluna MD, I've heard a lot of things about the Cellulize Treatment and I'm very happy with the results, they have a great team of doctors and the staff is very nice, always smiling and being really sweet to me when I was really nervous. I'm really thankful because now days is really hard to find people who besides doing their work efficiently take the time to really care about their patients. Doctor Fisher is an incredible person, an amazing doctor who made me feel secure about the procedure at all times and the outcome was fantastic, couldn't be happier, he really has great hands and I'm really thankful to them all. more

I really like Dr. Chang - he is friendly, kind, and gentle. He helped me with my varicose veins. My legs went from looking like ""old lady legs"" to legs that I am proud to show off. However, I have an issue with the professionalism of the office management. My last appt. at the Pembroke Pines office was on May 11. I made a follow up appt. for June 15. About 2 weeks later, I received a phone call from the office stating that my appt. would have to be pushed back to July 20 @ 9 AM. I arrive at the Pembroke Pines office on July 20 to be greeted by an empty parking lot and no one in the office. No one in the office called me to let me know they would be closed! I left a voice mail that morning expressing my disappointment. Until this day (Aug 16) I did not get a call back. I actually called today and the receptionist tells me that Soluna MD no longer conducts Sat. appointments at the Pembroke Pines office. They only have Thurs. appts. at that office, which are not convenient for me because I work. Coral Gables is way too far for me. I am very disappointed on how this was handled. Soluna MD staff should have called everyone that usually goes to the Pembroke Pines office and informed them of the changes. It's just extremely unprofessional. I still have schlerotherapy shots left from a Groupon I used the last time I was there. How will these be honored? Does Dr. Chang know how unprofessional this is? I hope he does not approve of how this situation was handled. I am sorry to say I will not be going back to the office and I am very sad about it because I still have a little more work to do on my legs, but it's not worth the trouble that this office has given me. more

STAY AWAY! Dr. Change is not a board certified plastic surgeon. He scarred me for life with ""SmartLipo."" I was left with severe and noticeable lumps throughout my abdomen and hard sides with little circulation. \r I had to pay thousands more for reconstructive surgery with a real plastic surgeon using Vaser. I later found out that most doctors don't even use SmartLipo because it is known for scarring and burning.\r BEWARE and do your research. I was fooled by the great marketing and kind demeanor. He is not board certified for a reason. Soluna MD is owned by investors who have the money to get on VH1, it's not because he's a good surgeon. Pay the extra money for a real plastic surgeon or you may regret it later like I did. more

This company does not honor it's verbal commitments. I bought a groupon for spider vein removal and went in for my appointment in April 2011. I had just found out I was pregnant (would never have bought the groupon if I knew), and Dr. Chang was kind enough to tell me that he would honor the groupon after I had my baby and finished breast feeding. I really appreciated this because I know that they are under no obligation to honor the groupon past the expiration date. My problem with them is that today when I called, the (very rude) receptionist informed me that Dr. Chang is no longer doing spider vein treatments purchased through groupon. When I asked if she could ask Dr. Chang if he would do it (since the groupon I bought was for a DOCTOR to perform the treatment, not a nurse) she was extremely rude and just kept saying ""you're not understanding me. Dr. Chang doesn't do groupons anymore."" I do understand that they've changed their policy, and if I had bought a groupon for a nurse to perform the procedure, I wouldn't be complaining at all. But I would never have a nurse do something like this, and the groupon that I bought was for a doctor to do it. So after thinking that they were going to honor the groupon that I bought, this was a pretty disappointing experience. After reading reviews, I will DEFINITELY not be going here and letting a nurse do this. Very sorry that I wasted my money. more

My overall experience with Dr. Chang and Soluna MD has been very good. Dr. Chang's work is amazing and everything went exactly as he told me it would. He is very much a professional that really takes pride in his work and makes you feel very comfortable. You can be confident that he is going to do his best to make sure that you are happy with the results. more

This has truly been a great experience from beginning to end. I had awful awful veins on my legs after my first born and have been completely embarrassed to go do any outdoor activities that show off my legs. My sister recommended I go to Soluna for vein treatments (even though she was there for something else). In any case, the nurse there was very helpful and has returned my legs to normal. Bought a groupon for vein treatment. The Nurse that saw me recommended that I got a Scan of my legs so they could treat me accurately. They said my insurance would cover for it. I scheduled an appointment with them for the following week and left my insurance information so they could obtain approval from my insurance for treatment. Next week I asked again before treatment if the insurance had approved it and they said ""YES, of course"". Nevertheless, I got a bill for $620.00 for the recommended treatment (that I did not need in order to get vein injections), even thought they told me my insurance had approved payment for the scan. Have called their billing company and the office manager at Soluna, their only answer is: ""yes, a mistake was made"" while they blame each other; but I still have to pay for a treatment that I said clear and loud to them , many times, that I would not get if I had to pay for it. The bill company even suggested for me to go and get a PCP referral so I did not have to pay for it (which is illegal and I do not even want to think that there Dr's that would lend their name to such a scam), when all they had to do, just as any Dr's office does, is call the insurance and find out if it was covered by my insurance carrier before doing treatment. I got billed $218.00 for Office visit? $402.00 for a scan and I did not even see one Dr. I was diagnosed by nurse and received treatment applied by a nurse. They are clueless on how to use the Healthcare system and they make their ""patients"" pay for they mediocracy. As of the treatment itself, Have all the same veins and they left darkened skin spots all over my legs, where they applied the injections. UPDATES: Today I got a call from the owner of Soluna MD. and I have edited this review since I believe it is only the right thing to do. I have to say that I greatly appreciate his effort on amending this situation. He wrote off the $620.00 which is highly appreciated, but even more the fact that he took the time to call me himself. It was rude on my behalf calling his business a ""Scam Organization"", but they way Soluna's office manager and the billing company handled the matter left a lot to think.... My advice to every one is since Dr's offices these days do not follow procedure with insurance clearance for treatment beforehand, you should do it yourself, call your insurance and make sure you are covered for treatment. Again, thank you for calling me, it made a huge difference. I will not change the star rating because even though the whole ordeal is over and there was resolution, I feel my treatment and my issue was handled quite poorly by the staff. more

I had smartlipo performed on my upper/lower abdomen and love handles in 11/2011 at SolunaMD. It's going on two months post op and I'm relatively happy with the results. My upper stomach area still looks the same and one of my love handles looks more ""full"" than the other. I'm hoping that once all the swelling goes away that everything will even out. Nevertheless I did lose a lot of inches and my skin feels tighter. I had to get all of my pants and skirts taken in. I have a burning sensation which I was told was due to the healing process. I'll write another post after a couple more months. For the most part, I'm glad I went to Dr. Chang because he made me feel confident in his abilities. more

I had smartlipo done at Soluna MD. The staff took excelent care of me. They took the time to explain the procedure and most important they did not rush me to make a decision. The doctor took the time to talk to me without rushing out on me. The best decision I ever made. more

I had my leg veins treated and I am very happy I went to Soluna. Dr. Chang answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable with having the treatment. Since my last visit I have sent my friends to Dr. Chang to get their veins treated. We can finally wear our skirts and shorts without having to be concerned about veins. more

Hola... soy Yanet, tengo 27 años... que genial q escriban sus experiencias.. yo tome la decision de operarme luego de leer un blog como este. soy delgada pero luego de dos embarazos la flacidez en el abdomen y los cauchitos en las caderas no hay ejercicio que la quite.. I recently had some vein treatments performed at Soluna MD. I chose Soluna because a cosmetic surgeon would be performing the procedure (and not a nurse). I was extremely impressed with Dr. Chang's ""bedside manner"" and his level of experience. Dr. Chang had a thorough knowledge and was able to answer every question I threw at him. He's patient and clearly loves the medical profession. The results were amazing! I had some very pronounced veins on my legs making it embarrassing to wear shorts. Now, the veins are completely gone. Frankly, if I could have choose Dr. Chang as my personal physician, I wouldn't hesitate. I also really liked the clinic. It was comfortable and very clean. The staff was professional. And the pricing was just right. I'm seriously considering having smartlipo done very soon and Dr. Chang at Soluna MD will most definitely be performing the treatment! I am new to the area and was looking for hair removal. Soluna was nearby so I scheduled an appointment. It was very clear the girl doing the lazer was in a bad mood and didn't care that she burnt me, in fact I heard her giggle to a co worker about it. The next day I called and left 5 messages for the doctor/medical director and never got a single call or anything. I had to spend 9 hours in the ER to get treatment for my burns. I recently had lipo performed on my stomach and thighs and was very pleased with Dr. Chang and his staff. He's a perfectionist and listened to what my concerns were and the results exceeded my expectations. I was back at work the next day and Dr. Chang and his staff were extremely patient with my 1001 questions. Literally...I had been putting this off for a while just trying to find the right Dr. and I finally found Dr. Chang through a friend who had done lipo with him. I had been feeling very self conscience about my legs. I am young and had developed spider veins, im a fan of the sky high heels. A friend of mine had told me about Soluna so i went for a consultation to see what my options were. The doctor that i saw was really nice, the staff was friendly and very professional and made me feel comfortable about returning for the procedure and i am glad that i did. I was visiting florida from new york and was recommended by a friend of mine to come and have my laser hair removal treatments started in soluna med spa. Since my first experience I have flew down four times to continue my treatments here. The staff was very professional, attentive and had done an excellent job on my back neck and shoulders. I had laser hair removal on my back, shoulders and neck and am very pleased with the results. After only one treatment I started noticing patches of hair loss.
