I bought a used car that turned out to be a lemon and couldn't get my money back. It was a nightmare until i brought it over to sola motor works and they saved the day. Javier was very nice and gave me a great deal. more

I took my 1962 Jaguar E-Type to sola motorworks because i was having numerious issues with my car. The owner Javier had found the problems with my car, quoted me and fixed them. They also did me some favors like some rewireing that needed to be done and some extra parts that needed to be found. Also reccomended me to a good body not far away. more

Sola Motorworks was a great place to take my car, Javier was very helpfull and knew his stuff thoroughly. Luie Is one of the best mechanics around and can fix almost any car, type/year dosn't matter. I reccomend Sola motorworks because they give Quality service at an affordable price. more

I have used Sola Motors for 15-20 years now for several of our vehicles, and I have always, without expectation, received exceptional service. I regularly refer friends and other customers to Sola Motors for repairs. They have done everything automotive for me on several different vehicles, both domestic and foreign. I have a Land Rover with 230 thousand miles on it, and Sola has been servicing it for 15 years. The service is extremely competent, timely, and honest. more

Javier Sola has proven himself to me over an over. He is as honest as the day is long. I know that I can trust him with anything. I recommend him at least weekly. We have been using him for at least 20 years. He donated a package service deal to a silent auction, and we bought it. We went and used the tuneup package and were impressed with him. I have been using him since. We had an instance where my wife was in Long Beach with our 1987 diesel truck. It started spitting out black smoke. She called me, and I called Javier. He told me it wouldn't hurt the car to drive it back to us, though it might annoy others on the road, so she did that. The next morning I called to see what was going on. Javier told me it was the catalytic converter, and that it should still be under warranty (it was 1989 at the time). He told me that he took the liberty in calling the dealership to make an appointment so that they could take care of it. We got it replaced for no cost, though it was a $2,700 job. He could have just replaced the part and charged me, I would never have known the difference, but he didn't. Another time my daughter-in-law was in the dessert with her 4 kids and the car heated up. She wanted to get back home, but it kept getting hotter and hotter. She was afraid, so she turned it off and called me. I counselled her to get it towed to a Mercedes dealership. They estimated that the repair would be $1,800, and gave her a loaner car. She drove the loaner car home, and I called Javier. He told me it sounded like a thermostat problem, and that I could drive the car with the heater on as a quick fix to get it home. I went back, got the car, and drove it to Sola Motors. He replaced it for $75. We have had experience after experience like that with Javier. When he says something should be done, it should. It will be finished in the time he tells you. more

Javier Sola is not a man of his word. Two days after paying over $200 for a repair my vehicle returned to the broken state. I called and was told I would be refunded my money on Monday. Instead on Monday morning I received a call from Javier yelling at me telling me he would do no such refund and that I was trying to extort him. I only want my car to run properly and it is not. By calling and starting a conversation with harsh words and no chance at resolution, they have lost a customer who was loyal for many years. The customer is not a concern at Sola - only that they make a buck regardless of what the repair is. DO NOT USE SOLA MOTOR WORKS! Cons: they rip you off more

I took my Lincoln there for an oil change. When I picked it up I was told the charge ws $131.00. When I complained the bill was reduced to $83.00. After leaving I discovered that my right front bumper had a really bad scratch and dent that had bee caused by something with rust red paint. When i went back I discovered that their lift racks were the same color as the paint on my bumper. I wonder what happened there???? I called back to speak to the owner who very rudly stated that his people did not dent my car and that the additional charge was for checking the car out for safety concerns. I called two local Lincoln dealerships and was advised that an oil change was $29.95 at both and both did safety inspections as a service to their customers. They find additional repairs by doing this. Javier Sola was very rude to me on the phone and told me he would refund the overcharging for the oil change and never to bring my care in there again. Not to worry that won't happen. So in closing if you need your car dented and feel you really need to pay 3 times the dealership rate for service then by all means this the place you have been looking for. Me I think I will go back to the dealership and pay full retail. It's a lot cheaper and you don't have to take your car to the body shop afterwards. Pros: Thumbs Down!!!!!!!!!! Well, after reading all the shining reviews, I took my car here. Biggest mistake ever. The tow truck that brought my car in, scratched the underside of the nose of my Jaguar XK8 to shreds trying to get up the steep, narrow drive. The owner told me it should have been a flatbed - after the fact, of course. Pros: Can't think of any Cons: Bad Location, Awkward Entry for Tow Trucks, Slow Service, Bad Diagnosis more

I can't say enough kind words about Javier Sola and his crew. They are polite, respectful and great mechanics. I brought them my rare 1992 Subaru SVX and he has worked with it to make it come back to life. Many shops would not touch the car, but Javier looks forward to the challenge.
