I lived out in the San Diego area last year while attending graduate school. Mental illness is predominant in my family and I was hesitant to go to a doctor even though I knew that something was off about me. One of my family members is a long time patient of Dr. Sobel and she intervened in my life and took me to see him. He fit me into his schedule immediately. He was knowledgeable, direct and earned my trust right away. He doesn't mess around and gets straight to the point, but he cares about his patients very much. I was sad to leave such a great doctor when I moved out of the area, but I would highly recommend his services to anyone.
