With Vanessa we were relaxed and comfortable, the finished photos show the love and true nature of our family. Amazing use of the natural light and creative outdoor backdrops. I recommend a hundred times over! more

Very Happy! 10/19/2010

We looked EVERYWHERE for photographers, and were just about to settle on one until a friend recommended Vanessa. I'm so glad we found her because she does such beautiful work. We felt very comfortable with her. She is very laid back but also incredibly professional at the same time. She has an amazing talent in finding the perfect shot. There wasn't a single photo from our shoot that we didn't like. I can't wait to have a reason to book another shoot with her! more

Most Fun and Amazing Pics!!! 10/19/2010

Vanessa has done photography work for my family before in a more casual capacity and her work has always been beautiful! So I could think of no one better to shoot our engagement pics. Little did I know that my fiance had a plan in mind. We were walking along an old fashioned ""Olde Towne"" style shopping district and stopped to take just a couple of shots when my fiance gave me my engagement ring (I'd told him prior that I didn't need a ring, but I didn't really mean it)! Vanessa was able to capture that moment without being obtrusive. All the tears and real emotion and love of that scene was transported in the the most beautiful way possible in Vanessa's pictures. Honestly, I was afraid that me crying and making ugly faces would be too raw. Instead the photos were candid and infused with overwhelming love. I honestly can not tell you how much Vanessa's photos mean to us. If you're looking for a fun, comfortable, affordable photographer, she is your go to gal!!! more

Outstanding quality pictures at affordable price! 9/9/2010

Words cannot express how pleased i was with our family ""mini session"" that Vanessa shot for us...I was determined to find an affordable AND talented photographer who seemed to have a passion for their hobby, and i came across So Darn Happy on Craigslist and loved Vanessa's work...we brought along our puppy and Vanessa was awesome with getting her attention to look at the camera! ;) I loved that the mini session was only 30 minutes long- perfect amount of time for a four legged or two legged baby! ;) The best part about So Darn Happy Photography is that our disc was in the mail within a week- and our online proofs were ready to view within a few days! Too often it seems that it takes months and months to get professional prints back, but not with Vanessa...I cherish the pictures that she took of us, so much that i immediately booked a family Christmas session ;) The color of the images is wonderful- the color seems to ""POP"" and is of outstanding quality! more

Love, Love, Love My Photos! 9/8/2010

Let me just say it ... Vanessa is terrific! You will adore your experience and your photos from So Darn Happy! Vanessa captures moments and expressions that are pure and real; not a fake cheesy smile in front of a camera. Her eye for beauty and detail are amazing. I never knew taking pictures could be so much fun and that I would feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I wish I could renew my wedding vows just so I'd have wedding pictures I actually like! I found out about So Darn Happy through a friend, have recommended several friends, who have now begun to recommend their friends. Working with her is pure joy! more

fantastic experience!!!! 9/7/2010

My husband and I have three sons and had been getting hounded by family for a long time to get pictures of the family and the children, but we knew our three little boys would be a disaster in a photo studio setting. Vanessa to the rescue! We met up at a park where the kids could run around and throw leaves (it was November) and the pictures came out AMAZING! She even got the most beautiful shots of my husband and I together and he is the most camera shy person on the planet. She was super patient when it came to getting all the kids in a shot, but nothing ever felt forced or fake. It was very relaxed. We were beyond happy with the experience and the pictures and our families were as well. more

Simply the best! 9/7/2010

Vanessa has a brilliant eye for catching beauty in every moment. The the experience itself and the photos are amazing -- very relaxed and natural. I've never been the type of person to WANT to get my picture taken. But, now that I have my daughter, I wanted to be in a few pictures with her and capture some memories of her at this age. And now that I have the photos, I just can't stop looking at them! Neither my husband or myself like portrait studios and the one time I took my daughter, the experience was a disaster. So we tried to take some photos outside in our yard, which went okay but we just couldn't capture in a photo what we saw with our eyes. I felt like a Goldilocks looking for my just right situation and I've finally found it with So Darn Happy. In fact, I'm 'so darn happy' about the results that I think I might be addicted now. :) more
