Snow Sheila O Attorney Mediator

My Ex and I hired Shiela based on her claims to be an expert mediator on her website. We found that Sheila has no mediation experience what-so-ever. When the two of us would come to an impass, Sheila sat back and let us argue for hours at a time, all the while racking up time that translates directly into dollars - often with no resolution. I felt that she should met with us separately or at least used some mediation techniques to calm the meeting down. My experience with Sheila turned out to be disasterous, communication with my Ex rapidly deteriorated and Sheila did nothing to help rectify any of the situations that came up in our meetings. In addition, Sheila is an administrative nightmare. She did not send out emails to follow up questions or request information or paperwork needs from either of us - even if one of us requested. It was as if she expected us to do it for her. She often did not know where we left off from the last meeting and did not remember many details that were actually worked out. In the end, she asked for more money to finalize our divorce and child support obligations, and quite frankly, we would have been better off paying less to a couples therapist and working out the details of our separation, then go to someone to just file the paperwork. Cons: She runs her business like a cab drive, taking you around the block a few times and then making you pay because she got lost. If you have any sort of issues, do not expect Sheila to handle them, she is simply a clerk that knows how to file paperwork with the courts, I don't see much else value in her services. more

Pros: Sheila is a nice person, I think she wants to do a good job for her clients, and her fees are fair. Cons: Extraordinarily slow, disorganized, forgetful, prone to repeated errors, no office back-up (works alone), poor communication (had difficulty managing simple tasks like email), seems very minimally competent in the practice of law. We hired Sheila for a simple uncontested divorce and property settlement. Unfortunately, this became a protracted, error-riddled, confused miasma of misfiled paper work, non-existant follow-up, and slow service. Sadly, I really cannot recommend her at all. more

My husband and I used her during our divorce in 2003. Our case also dragged out. She couldn't answer a lot of our questions. At the end of the day we wished we had used someone more experienced. more

We felt Sheila Snow dragged our case out for her own benefit. We wish we would have looked into her background, history and experience through the Superior Court before hiring her.(She just started practicing 10 years ago ). We Did not have a good experience. Pros: small office Cons: Did not feel like Ms. Snow had our best interests and did not feel confident in her ability and knowledge. more
